Aquatic-adjective -of, in, or pertaining to water


noun-an aquatic plant or animal
The aquatic region of the marsh was very muddy.

Auditory-adjective-pertaining to hearing, to the sense of hearing, or to the organs of hearing


noun-an assembly of hearers; audience
There was an auditory squeak from the audience.
Autobiography-noun-a history of a person's life written or told by that person
The autobiography was amazing, and I couldn't believe the person could've suffered all this.

Belligerent-adjective-warlike; given to waging war


noun-a state or nation at war

The belligerent man was seen murdering his wife.

Bibliophile-noun-a person who loves or collects books, esp. as examples of fine or unusual printing,
binding, or the like
The man, being a bibliophile, built the largest library in the world.
Biomorphic-noun-a painted, drawn, or sculptured free form or design suggestive in shape of a living
organism, esp. an ameba or protozoan
The eyes of the biomorphic statue seemed to glare at me.

Captives-noun-a prisoner

Dermatitis–noun-inflammation of the skin


The doctors could not find out what had caused his dermatitis.
Dullard–noun-a stupid, insensitive person
The dullard of the town was quite a load to handle.

Entomology–noun-the branch of zoology dealing with insects


The study of entomology is very intriguing.

Incised–adjective-cut into: the incised material


The incised carving was of a chariot and a headless driver.
Indictment–noun-any charge, accusation, serious criticism, or cause for blame
The indictment against him was false.

Inscribe–verb-to write, print, mark, or engrave (words, characters, etc.)


He had a feeling of excitement at inscribing his name on this rock, future generations would see it.

Misanthropist–noun-a hater of humankind


Missionary–noun-a person sent by a church into an area to carry on evangelism or other activities, as
educational or hospital work
adjective-engaged in such a mission, or devoted to work connected with missions
The missionaries slowly trudged into the camp.

Monarchy–noun-supreme power or sovereignty held by a single person


Monarchy is not very democratic.

Neophyte–noun-a beginner or novice


The neophytes of the army were trained harder than the rest.
Patricide–noun-the act of killing one's own father
The son committed the crime of patricide.

Porter–noun-a person hired to carry burdens or baggage, as at a railroad station or a hotel


The porter had to carry almost 20 kilograms of weight!

Recede–verb-to go or move away; retreat; go to or toward a more distant point; withdraw


The river receded 12 meters upriver.
Technician–noun-a person who is trained or skilled in the technicalities of a subject
I hired a technician to fix my computer.
