 ABSTRACT

The art is one of the most important aspects of creative ideas, skills and quality production of human
being. Art plays dynamic roles in all aspects. It has expression of self in the form of beautiful objects.
The artistic work makes a person more innovative and creative in her/his thinking .Art is effective and
dynamic and also has its humorous applicability. This helps young people to develop insights, skills and
understanding more affectively. Art is thus an integral part of human life as individual communities in a
particular art. It is encouraging, nurturing and shaping students in and through this small artistic work
which will broaden their hearts and mind in their life. Art is a practical that provides learners the
opportunity to explore various methods of learning and techniques. Thus effective engagement of learners
in practical activities may help them develop creative and practical skill result in benefit in the
competition of primary schooling .engagement in the development of creative and practical skill is
particularly helpful for those who do not advance to secondary education.

 INTRODUCTION

Match stick or stick figure drawing refers to a very simplified way to show the figure in motion. Match
stick craft ideas for kids can help to develop their imagination. They can learn to make various patterns
from these match matchstick craft ideas. In essence you can imagine that each match sticks represent one
of the major bones of the human body. Match stick figure can be useful during the layout or initial stage
of the drawing. Drama and arts helps to develop critical thinking skills, sense of adjustment, cooperation,
motivation, concentration span through different creative art form.

CONCEPT

Art and craft described a variety of activities involving and making things with one’s own hand. It
involves both our physical and mental present. Match stick drawing is one of the hobbies and talents of
some of the students. It enables a person to express his or her creative thought, ideas and innovative skills
enhances his or her entire life. Match stick drawing refers to a very significant way to show the figures in
motion. One can learn more about it by drawing cartoon match stick people. One can image that each
match stick represent one of the major bone of human body. Match stick figures can be useful during the
layout on initial stage of a drawing. Although one can find that these models are too simple and need to
be enhance on flesh out during later stage. Stick figures diagrams are easy for the children to add as well
thus enhance participative learning.

OBJECTIVES

 To learn creativities, ideas, imaginations and thus to bring out artistic form.
 To know children to record first and select their own ideas to use in their work.
 To know the children’s abilities the control use of material tool and technique.
 To know the skill and technique, demonstration, increasing sensitivity and openness at the work of
a wide range of artists and craftspeople.
 To study about atmosphere, content, and impact in the work of artists, especially when they relate
to his or her own work.
 REPORT OF ACTIVITY
PLANING: the purpose of the match stick drawing activities was initially planned out as follows.
 A theme or idea of the drawing was chosen.
 MATERIAL: match stick, fevical, chart paper,pencil,scissors, colours, sketch pen,
sharpner, eraser, A4 sheet paper.

EXECUTION
The making of match stick drawing involved the following steps
 A blank and clean chart paper was taken to draw.
 To bring into shape paper was placed on the cardboard.
 A pencil sketch of the idea of the drawing was executed as decided.
 Paper was cut into proper size for the further idea.
 Match stick were taken and cut into different size of pieces as need for the drawing
with the help of scissors.
 Match stick were attached in the paper with the help of fevical.
 The theme is related to the rural environment.
 Ultimately match stick drawing got ready.

EVALUATION
Match stick provides students with an opportunity to learn by doing in turn strengthening the learning. It
gives students an opportunity to make use of the free time constructively and to take initiative to do
things. It increases the thinking capacity and the student is able to concentrate for longer hours. It also
helps students to preserve in whatever they are doing, to remain focused and to collaborate with others.
Match stick drawing helps the students to save their pocket money and to buy the necessary things for the
match stick drawing and keeping in the house to increase the beauty of house.
The match stick drawing benefits the learner in following ways:
 Knowledge: the learner was able to identify different types of match stick drawing.
 Understanding: the learner was able to comprehend the important of match stick drawing.
 Application: the learner was able to appraise co-relate and represent the technique to match stick
drawing.
 Skill: the learner was able to utilize motor skills in making of the drawing effectively.

ADVANTAGE
 It helps students to be creative.
 Increases confidence in students.
 It helps in decision making.
 Students are able to persevere in whatever they are doing.
 It helps in focusing.
 It helps in collaborating with others.
 Helps in making someone feel special and happy.

DISADVANTAGES
We need to have more patience to accomplish the task.
 Time consuming.
 Not durable.
 CONCLUSION
Arts education develops students who are self driven and motivated as they are often taught critics of their
own work. Involvement in the arts teaches students how to try new things manage risk, and handle
failure. It also provides students with a multitude of option for expressing and communicating their ideas
and students learn to think about problems from a broad range of perspective. Student’s art works helps
teacher to know their students better so that they can understand how they learn and teach more
effectively.

Art inspires and encourage children of all ages to improve in all areas of their growth and development.
Every creation, every project and every piece of artwork your children will work on and produce will
exert their creativity and allow them to express themselves in new and wonderful this ways .this is also
beautiful way to record and understand the changes in child growth and improvement. Art teaching
allows them to express themselves in their ways that you would otherwise have missed.
