How important is it for us to know the historical background of the "people

of God" in the Old Testament and what does it mean for us today? Explain
in your own words.
- It is important for us to know the historical background of the
"people of God" in the Old Testament, because it is the essential part
of human existence and literature, because without it, memories,
narratives, and people will lose their significance. The historical
background can help us comprehend what causes individuals to
behave the way they do when we analyze historical events of the
people of God in the Old Testament. And for us to understand the
real definition of God's people in the Old Testament, which people
are the temple, and the temple is where God resides with his people
throughout the biblical history. So, if God's people are the temple, it
follows that God interacts with the rest of the world through them. The
people of God are now the temple, carrying God's presence into the
world.
