DISHONOUR TO GUARD OF HONOUR AT HYDERABAD CIRCLE BY MR. AMIT

Sir,
You might have already seen the welcoming Guard of Honour given to Mr. Amit
Jhingra, appointed as CGM Hyderabad Circle recently. The attitude shown by the Officer in
such a higher designation is very disgraceful and an insult to the pride of Uniform
Procedurals.
We don’t know any such procedures held in such Corporate Organisations, still if
exists must be adhered properly, and the rules must be aware by such receiving Officers.
This is a stark example of gross misuse of ESM fraternity (Guards) in violation of every rule
and protocol of the land. Salute is given either to National/Regimental/Service flags or to
National Emblem. CGM is only a head of some office in a PSU. This does not confer upon
him any special rights. He is just another boss working in a PSU. It is a grossly wrong
precedure which should be checked, and must not be followed by other organisations where
Security Guards are deployed. A strong letter is the need of hour to your all Corporate Offices
of SBI.
Proper Return Salute for every Salute is a common culture, Give Respect and take
Respect is our Tradition and we are not beyond & higher than any, in this Democratic
Country.
We request you to look into the mater, such things don’t repeat and necessary
Guidelines in this regard may be issued at the earliest.
