Give at least 5 e- Safety Rules in Schools. Why e- Safety Rules are important? How are e-
safety rules are implemented in school? Why is it important to learn about e- safety?

There are the some of 5 e safety rules in school:

1. Provides tiltable tables

2. Provide foot support
3. Provide anti-glare screen filter
4. Make sure lighting is suitable
5. Provide adjustable chairs
Why e safety rules are important?
- The internet is a huge part of our lives. Whichever way you look at it, it has grown to influence
every nook and cranny of our society and the way that our “children engage with information”.
Our parents used to warn us about ‘stranger danger’, now we teach our children the same
lessons, but for a huge, ever-evolving environment. Our young people enjoy spending time on
the internet and interacting with their friends and peers online, but this also means that
cyberbullying and other online problems can be particularly hurtful.
How are e safety rules are implemented in school?
-Schools must educate their staff and pupils to develop skills to help them evaluate online
material in a critical way to ensure that they keep themselves from harm. School staff must also
be educated on e-safety, through professional development sessions, to protect the pupils,
themselves and a school as a whole.
Why is it important to learn about e safety?
- With the right e-safety knowledge, children can better understand the dangers of releasing
personal information, as well as how to recognise unethical behaviours or prevent cyberbullying.

1. How important are the aspect of e-safety as strategic leadership within the school?

- As e-Safety is an important aspect of strategic leadership within the school, the Principal
and Board of Governors have ultimate responsibility to ensure that the policy and practices
are embedded and monitored. It is the role of the ICT Co-ordinator to keep abreast of
current e-safety issues and guidance through organisations such as CEOP.

2. Give at least one rule of e-safety that is being used in ICT. Explain that rule precisely
and concisely.
 DON’T DOWNLOAD ANYTHING WITHOUT PERMISSION.
Viruses often infect computers when someone downloads an infected file. This is just one way
hackers are able to access personal information; by implementing this rule, you’re one step
closer to keeping private information, and your devices, safe.

Let’s share your thoughts. Share your thoughts in separate sheet of short size bond paper.

Reflection:

1. What have you learned?

- I learned what is the mean of e safety rule is and how is it important to school. It also
help us to safeguard, protect and educate us and staff in the acceptable use of technology
and communications (including social media) as well as having established mechanisms
in place to identify, intervene in and escalate any incident where appropriate.

2. What do you want to know more?

3. What will you do with what you learned?

- I will follow the e safety rules for my safety, and as a future teacher I will also teach
