EVALUATION OF MY FOOD PLAN 2
Dietary Strengths
On Thursday 11th 2021, my dietary strength was taking 8oz of glass of water during lunch
and 8oz glass of water twice after dinner. These are 240z glasses of water in that day. The

following day that is on Friday 12th 2021 I took 5 ounces of protein food, which include 2

scrambled eggs containing 2 ounces of protein, I serving of chicken salad containing and one
1
serving of steak. My meal also contained 2 cups of vegetables which consisted of 1 cup of
2
asparagus, I cup of mashed potatoes and a tuna sandwich and I took 8oz glass of water twice. On
Saturday 13th 2021 I took 2cups of fruit which is 2 cups of apple juice and 8oz glass of water
twice.
In comparison to the recommended healthy eating routine I was unable to reach most of
the food group targets but I managed to take the required amounts of vegetables, proteins and
fruits on Friday and Saturday. To top that I managed to take 16 to 24oz glasses of water each
day.
Dietary Weakness
On the other my food plan consisted of a bunch of weakness. For example on Thursday
11th 2021, I did not take any fruit neither did I have any vegetable hence did not reach the

required 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of vegetables. I ate I cup of oxtail to fit the protein

requirement though it is not a lean meat thus a weakness. I took 9 ounces of grains consisting of

1 cups of oatmeal, 1 cups of cereals and 1 cups of rice, which was more than the required 6

ounces of grain. The cake and one bag of chips contains more than 50g of sugar and fat which is
On Friday 12th 2021, I took more 3 cups of fruits i.e. bananas and strawberries, 1 cup of
orange juice and 2 cups of lemonade. I also ate four ounces of grains ie two bread French toast
and tuna sandwich which less than the 6 ounces required. Saturday 13th 2021, my meal did not
consist of any vegetables and also took a lot of junk food which included of 1 beef burger,
French fries, spirit sodas, ice cream, two hotdogs with ketchup and 4 pancakes. All these foods
contain more than 50grams of sugar and fat. I was unable to meet the protein requirements
My main weakness is taking a lot of junk foods that contain a lot of sugar and fat. I plan on
improving these by substituting the junk foods with more vegetables, proteins and fruits during
the day and occasionally replacing my snacks with dairy or forfeit soy alternatives such as
yoghurt for a healthy going. I also want to work ensuring that each day has every food group in
the correct amounts i.e. not in excess or in deficit. This includes taking of I cup of fruit juice and
two to three different kind of fruits. I will also eat more leafy salad greens, lean meat, chicken,
turkey and red meat for proteins. My stews should also contains beans, peas, green grams and
lentils. I will also search other variety of foods with more health benefits and ensure they reach a

not take into consideration the difficulties of balancing all food groups at the same meal
especially in the right amount as indicated. They also do not take into consideration the
