 Content Formats : These are formats a content marketer use to communicate to his
target audience.

 Types of Content Formats


1. Graphics: This involves the use of text and creative designs to pass across
messages to people. Basic design principles should be known before using
graphics. Apps used includes; Canva, Corel draw, designer, etc
2. Video: It outlasts other content formats on social media. It makes people to be
more engaged than other formats. Majorly used in YouTube,tiktok,etc. Apps
that can be used are premier pro,inshot,quik,etc
3. Pictures: The best way to tell stories and pass messages online is through
pictures.
4. Text: Is the most common form of content formats and Is used everywhere
when using other formats to explain or tell the message its passing. It can be
in two forms; Long form text and short form text.
Other types are: Audio, Animation,

 Creating Meaningful content is the backbone of content Marketing.

 You need to create content that will not be effective for a day, but would still be
relevant in several months or years.

 Understanding the social media platform before using a content format is very
important.

 Content Marketing Strategy: Is the planning, creation and delivery of content across
all social media platforms including social media.

 Content Marketing strategy is the Overall plan to go about content creation and
delivery while Content Strategy is the Specific plan.

 How to create a Content Strategy

1. Write down your goals: You need to set out what you want to achieve.

2. Figure out the target audience: Carry out a market research to know
the needs of your customers, know who you are trying to talk to
because these are people that might later buy from you.
3. Note their pain points: The more the pain points, the more contents to
create. You have to highlight how your content or your product can
solve the customers pain points.

4. Brainstorm Content ideas: This involves bringing out content ideas


from the problems and solutions highlighted.
Note: Always write out your ideas.

by detailing what, when, and where you post. It serving as a form of guide to keep
you in check.

4. It serves as a brain storming session.

5. It is used to create Content Marketing strategy.

 Things to know when creating a Content Calendar


 Know your target audience.
 Social media platform.
 Key performance indicators.
 Your business goals.

 Tools that can be use to create Content calendars: Google sheets, notion, Microsoft
Excel, Trello, etc
