Web Portal Utilities – “MY PORTAL”

Introduction:
Web portal is the face of any Organisation. It is the communication medium and it
has to be updated every day. Also the content on the web portal should be
authentic. More importantly users should not necessarily need any
technical knowledge to update the website every day. The reason to develop
a web portal is to inform, to say and to transform the organization. Especially due to
Right to Information Act, presence of department/organization portal has become a
necessity. After considering the requirements and guidelines of Govt. of India; MKCL
has designed a web portal product called “MY PORTAL”.

Mainly following aspects are considered while designing

this tool:
1. Let people know about your organization/ department.
2. Improve image of your organization/department.
3. Transform your organization by giving updated information .
4. Web portal be mirror of your organization to the entire world.
5. Cost effective, user friendly.
6. Giving customers/ citizens instant access to your activities and information.

about your organization/ department.
9. Build and improve credibility of your organization.

you can reply back on their email ID .

• Complaint tracking system is available. Any viewer can lodge a complaint

and it can be marked to different users for resolving it. The reference
number is given to each complaint through which s/he can track the
developments

• Request Information Utility can help your viewers to request you specific
information which is not available on web portal. Thus a proper dialogue
can be established.

• Standard Photo Gallery is made available with categorisation. Any

function/ meeting photographs can be uploaded with captions.

of the web portal

General Utilities:
1. Login to authentic users is available.

2. Users can created by giving login ID and Passwords to office users

3. Administrator password is most crucial and will be given to web

administrator who will entirely manage this site.

Training:
MKCL shall provide two days training to official of the department. Training has to
be arranged by the Department.

Content Editing/Updating:
Content editing and updating shall be responsibility of the Department. MKCL shall
provide one day training to five people.

Terms & Conditions:

1. MKCL shall make available web site at a concessional rate of

`.16,000/- plus applicable taxes for the first year.
2. Purchase order should be sent along with 100% advance payment
3. Warranty of the software is 1 Year. Technical support will be provided
by MKCL.
4. `.10,000/- plus applicable taxes per year would be charged from
second year onwards which includes all above package offering.
5. Any software upgrades released during the Warranty period or AMC
period would be given free of cost to the purchaser.
6. Validity of the quotation is One month.
7. Any additional features/ requirements requested by the department
shall be additionally billed on terms and conditions as mutually agreed at the
time such requisitions/requirements are made by Department.
