What is a Zipline?
A zip line consists of a pulley suspended on a cable,
usually made of mild steel, mounted on a slope. It is
designed to enable a person propelled by gravity to travel
from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable by holding
on to or being attached to the freely moving pulley.

There are 3 types of Zipline Activity:

1. Classic Zipline

2. Superman Zipline

3. Couples Zipline

Where can a Zip line be made?

NATURAL SITES: We can easily install Zip lines in a wide range of natural sites.

MAN-MADE SITES WITH MOVABLE STRUCTURES : Thanks to our movable structures, we

install Zip lines in man-made settings such as stages, adventure parks, and urban areas.

MAN-MADE SITES WITH STATIC STRUCTURES : A Zip line can safely be constructed on
man-made sites with static structures, such as stadiums and high-rise buildings.

“Our aim is to design the Zip lines to best fit the specific setting”
Various Zip line Positions
Zipline can be made in size from 100 meters to 2000 meters
Key Facts about Zip line
Factor Details
Length of the Zip line Setup A Zip line setup can be made for variety of lengths. We have
built 100 meters to 900 meters long zip line setups.
Land on which Zip line setup is being built Surface level and ground types are important factors for
foundation and fabrication of a Zip line towers.
Location and access to Zip line setup Laying of the wire is a challenging task if access to Zip line
area is not easy.
Brand of Rope / Wire Used We recommend Usha Martin wires and imported ropes for
setting up zip lines.
Quality of Zip line activity equipment used Quality of belay system, zip stopper or other breaking systems
have a big impact on project cost.
Number of Lines being run parallel We recommend to get at least 2 Zip lines in parallel.
Slope between take-off and landing point Recommended slope is 3-5 degree while the setup can be
managed for up to 10 degrees.
Zipline Building Process
• Land Survey
We use commercial survey equipment to determine GPS, elevations, distances and angles between activities. This formal process assures the best
Step1 outcome for your project.

• Concept Development
Our initial planning includes discussions / meetings to understand your goals, budget and design vision. We design course layout and design for the
Step2 overall project using concept sketches, 2D and 3D digital designs.

• Cable Sag Analysis

The cable sag analysis report starts with formal survey points to determine ground line contour, arrival / departure tower requirements and cable sag
Step3 to assure every line is designed with optimal slope and appropriate toe clearance for riders.

• Engineering
Through our engineering excellence and passion for quality, innovation and safety, we produce designs that are visually stunning, incredibly safe, and
Step4 able to withstand years of heavy use.

• Fabrication
Many of our structures are designed and fabricated at the our plant by experienced designers and engineer. Our facilities include steel and wood
Step5 fabrication. We offer many in-house services that our competitors do not. Custom Painting and design imprint, available upon request.

• Installation
Once our fabricators create your custom pieces, we ship them to your location. In some cases, we create pieces on site as well. Once installed, these
Step6 systems will provide years of heavy-duty use, indoors and out. Obviously, safety is fundamental.

• Staff Training and Demo Run

After installation, Team OXO doesn’t just leave you “hanging.” We can meet with you and your staff to teach course operations, safety and technical
Step7 skills, emergency planning and adventure course care.
Key Components Zip line Setup

■ Platform : A smart design for take-off and landing points for ease of operations

■ Equipment: Use of high grade wire and equipment for safety and smooth operations

■ Technology: Equipment retrieval system to save time and automate the process

■ Setup Standards: Zip line as per ATOAI Rope course standards.

Estimated Cost of a Zip line Setup
Distance Slope % Single Line Cost (INR) Dual Line Cost (INR)
100 meter 4 2,00,000 Onwards 2,80,000 Onwards
100 meter 8 2,50,000 Onwards 3,50,000 Onwards

1000 meters 8 75,00,000 Onwards 1,10,00,000 Onwards
Custom 2-10% On Request On Request

Notes:
• This is an indicative idea of cost with presumption that ‘we get everything as we need’ at activity site
• Cost will reduce drastically if there is an existing base to work with for tying the wire
• This cost does not include any equipment cost
• We only use Usha Martin wire for its reliability and credibility
• Zipline with slope in excess of 10% slope in not advisable
