BIGI TECH has been in essence ever since 2017GC under the name of “BIGI TECH”

” and since 2010 GC its name changed in to. BIGI TECH SECURITY SOLUTION PLC. has been register to be a
legal entity under Ethiopian law with Main registration number of BL/AA/2/0022982/2013 and
Trade permit numbers of BL/AA/14/673/46O8181/2013. BIGI TECH has also been given a Tax
Identification Number [TIN] of 0070342215 and a Value Added Tax Registration number [VAT]
16518160010 from The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Ethiopian Revenue and customs
Authority.

9. TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
11.1. Objectives of the Project
As succinctly presented in the TOR Document, the objectives of this project are: -
⦿ To analyze the existed system and requirements of the CCTV Infrastructure

⦿ Design and implement a secured CCTV infrastructure for huge compounds and
implementing reliable network infrastructure considering the feature expansion to
launch different software and applications.
⦿ Test all CCTV cameras LAN and WAN Connectivity configuration and services.
⦿ Cost Minimization for maintenance and support after implementation.
⦿ Internet Connectivity will be proved by EFDR Supreme Court.
⦿ Train users about the design.
11.2. Proposed Design Compliance Sheet

11.2.1. Proposed Network Design
TECHNICAL PROPOSAL
Recommendations
11.2.2. Cable Routing

Visual inspection will be performed to determine the shortest route for all cable runs prior to trunking
or raceway installations. Care will be taken in the planning process to ensure that the EFDR
Supreme Court office is not affected in any way. The trunking will be installed in such a way that it blends
in with the environment.
Within the buildings, all trunking will be fixed to the structure of the building with fisher plastic plugs
and screws. No screw will be placed further than one meter apart from each other. Wire- way will be
created in such a way that the installed cable will not run adjacent to any power cables or any devices that
might induce electrical current on to the cable.
11.2.3. Civil work
Opening or drilling of walls or asphalt roads will be done where applicable for passing of trunking
beltways and data cables between any adjacent offices and floor-to-floor. At the end of the
installation work all openings will be seamlessly closed.
11.2.2.1. Trunking
Installation of trunking system (cable beltway) will be carried out with Structural Cabling layout as
per the floor Layout which will be submitted as built-in documentation .The edges and curves of the
trunking system will be filed properly so that the installation of cables shall not be stripped during the
cabling work. The trunking size is determined in consideration of any possible future expansions are
done without drilling and opening holes, which will be I think provided by the EFDR supreme court.
11.2.2.2. Cable Installation
The cable installation will include re-routing, re-punching, re-crimping and re-labeling the cable into a

new patch panel and cabinet.
11.2.2.3. Cable Termination @ Patch Panel
Wiring termination will be carried out on the Patch Panel based on the TIA-568 B Standards. A label tag
will install on the cable prior to termination. This label will correspond to the same number on the
Switches side of the cable.
11.2.2.4. Cable Termination @ Switches
The twist in the pair shall continue up to the point of termination. Wiring termination will be carried
out on the Switches based on the ANSI/EIA/TIA-568 B Standards.
11.2.4. Testing
11.2.2.5. Copper Cable testing
Testing of all copper cabling shall be performed prior to system cutover. 100 percent of the
horizontal and riser cabling pairs shall be tested for opens, shorts and polarity Reversals. Voice and
data horizontal cabling pairs shall be tested from the information NVR to the Camera. Testing shall be
done with a ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B UL Certified Level 2 test set.
All the cabling segments and patch cord will be tested using a network analyzer device. Each and
every segment of cable will be tested and a corresponding test report will be provided for future
reference.
11.2.5. Labeling
All components of the data network will be symmetrically labeled and as-built in documentation
including layout drawings and schematic diagrams that show cabling and wiring schemes, labeling
schemes and all relevant technical details will be provided to EFDR Supreme Court.

11.2.6. Documentation
The designs created are fully documented including infrastructure maps and site connection schema
EFDR Supreme Court. The documentation will contain all technical reference and maintenance
information. In particular the documentation will contain:
⦿ Complete schematic diagrams of the entire cabling system (Camers,
Cable etc)
⦿ Complete layout drawings showing physical routing of all cabling and
location of all equipment identified over the Room.
⦿ Description of the cable and outlet labeling schemes adopted.
⦿ Listing of all outlet points of BAHIRDAR UNIVERSITY and location.
⦿ Detailed documentation of the whole project both in soft and hard copy showing
all the network equipment in the LAN, cable routes and camera locations with
their labeling Drawn by Microsoft VISIO Software. Upon completion of the
network configuration, HABSEC will supply a complete and Comprehensive Site-
Documentation Pack.
11.2.7. Training Plans

The Training approach that BIGI TECH proposing is the As per the request on the tender
document ,workshop seminar on localy and On-job Training preferably not limited only this but also
as Training of Trainers with detailed manuals and exercises for the technical staffs about the
configurations, administration as well as maintaining the system. This will include the network
technologies, software used in implementation of the system. Because of rapid change and
sophistication of technologies and their products, BIGI TECH will propose not only on-job training but
also targeted action oriented training for the staff. There will be manuals and exercises to evaluate the
capacity of the staff to operate and maintain the system. At last, there will be Administration
Manual about the system for future references.

Below is shown timetable for the entire activities in delivery and configuration of the network and will have
highlights of the products that are used in the project, as they will be active participants or supervisors of
the whole installation.

 System maintenance for a period of 36 Months after implementation.
 36 months‟ full time MIS Operational support with on-site trouble shooting.
 Will have a Help Desk Support Personnel to receive all the issues & Support Requests.
