Sketches
The first graphic representation of an idea, subject to modifications and made freehand.
Schemes
Graphical representation of an idea in which only the most important or essential details of what is represented appear.
Line drawing
Graphic expression either freehand or instrumental by means of lines that define an object or idea.
Technical drawing
Graphic representation, accurate and dimensioned, adhering to standards, which allow to interpret or make a design.

Architectural plans
It is important to know about the standards followed in the construction of the

architectural plans for the facility, a job that, while well carried out by architects and
civil engineers, the industrial engineer must know how to read them.
Some Line Types:

Thick continuous: visible contours or edges
Continuous thin: imaginary, dimension, projection, short axes.
Thick or Thin with segments: invisible outer lines or invisible edges.
Thin of Chain: Axis, symmetry or trajectory lines.
Thin Double-hyphen chain: Outer lines of adjacent pieces, centroid lines.
Cut Plane: Represents a longitudinal cut that will be detailed in another plane.
