Main idea of the video

The main idea is all about the truth behind the false stories we were convinced to believe mass
media claimed Ninoy, a hero, even though he died for political ambitions not because of his

The point of view of the video is when the Cojuangco brothers became the most powerful family
in the Philippines and they became richer and richer because of the lands they keep on getting
from the farmer who couldn’t pay their fees. This made them the biggest land-owning clan in
Central Luzon, but their father still ran for congress. Suddenly, Cojuangco family found
everywhere in the government. The public still rooting for Cory because she bribed the media,
ABS-CBN TV, and The Inquirer newspaper, to not expose their doing in exchange with their
company back.
 The video’s argument

The video’s argument is when the Azucarera, the world’s largest tobacco company which was
owned by Spanish Company, was purchased by Cory’s father himself and the Philippine
government agreed to loan him money in two conditions; first he should buy the surrounding
farmland which is Hacienda Luisita and lastly, he should distribute the land to farmers but
unfortunately, the land distribution did not happen. Former President Marcos kept of filed a case
for the Cojuangcos but was trashed when Cory took his spot as the president of the Philippines.

Inconsistencies and/or falsehoods in the video

The falsehoods in the video is when the clan was known to be clan of “heroes” and “saviors”,
always the good and always fighting for justice. Ninoy was about to run for president that is why
he went back to the Philippines but not his luck, he was shot to dead. He died because of his
political ambition. Additionally, during the term of Cory crime rate is high and her always
excuse is the change in the government that is why people rebel, but she just does not have the
capabilities to be an effective leader.
