Nature of the company : YAMAHA MOTOR CO., LTD is a Japanese
manufacturer of motorcycles marine products such as boats and outboard
motors, and other motorized products . It was started on 1st May of 1955 in
Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan by Genichi Kawakami. It has been a very successful
brand across the Globe. The company is also involved in various motorsport
events.

OBJECTIVES : . Yamaha Motor strives to realize peoples' dreams with
ingenuity and passion, and to always be a company people look to for the next
exciting product or concept that provides exceptional value and deep
satisfaction.

Strategy : India has been a country where motorcycles are the most
affordable and effective mode of transport for the people. People used
motorcycles for their daily commutes and also for various commercial
purposes like food delivery etc., In the recent years people of India have
started touring on motorcycles. Motorcycles have seen a different use in the
recent times. People want a motorcycles that can be driven in any type of
terrain. As we all know the road conditions here in India, its mostly going to be
a rough ride. Yamaha has been offering its ADVENTURE TOURING range of
motorcycles in most of the South East Asian countries. It is time for Yamaha to
introduce its Adventure touring range of motorbikes in India.

Operational Plans: As Yamaha motorcycles will be the latest to enter into

the Indian market with its own range of Adventure touring motorbikes , it
requires a lot of planning. As many other Global leaders in Adventure touring
motorcycles have already set their foot here in India. Yamaha motorcycles has
a good reputation for their reliability all across the world. That reputation is
going to be the key in terms of introducing those motorcycles here in India. As
touring motorcycles should be highly reliable and rugged to withstand
whatever we throw at it. Follow the current market leaders in India, Triumph
motors and Honda motors are the most successful adventure touring
motorcycle brands in India. But both of these brands are not accessible by the
common man . So Yamaha needs to concentrate more towards manufacturing
a low cost, value for money motorcycle but still holding its reliability. If the
bikes are going to be manufactured here in India, Yamaha will be able to save a
lot of money from paying customs duty and other taxes.

So the Ultimate plan will be introducing adventure touring bikes with high
reliability and more value for money to attract all sorts of buyers .
