A. Engage (Activity 1)
Biotic and abiotic influence the ecosystem. Biotic components include
plants, animals, algae, fungi, and microorganisms while abiotic components are
all physical factors like wind, nutrients soil types, rocks, sun, and temperature of
the air.
Look around you. Write at least 8 biotic and abiotic components that you
can see in your surroundings. Write your answer inside the box.

The fundamental principles of the ecosystem include adaptation and
behavior, organizational levels, biodiversity, and energy flow.
The environment is constantly changing. Because of its changes,
organisms constantly undergo adaptation — the process of change to
accommodate environmental conditions over a short period of time. For instance,
certain animals undergo hibernation during the winter season.
