Suitability for role:
David has a rather interesting
accent to listen to, something I
feel he shares with the French –
who are constantly lorded for
their accents being rather good to
listen to.
But I suppose it all comes down
to subjectivity, and I just so
happen to believe that good
accents are something that both
David and France have in
common.

Ability to interpret character:
David managed to enter the shoes
of the character after one slightly
failed attempt – finally landing on
a voice and tone that we both
deemed suitable for the character.
French Man (as a character) isn’t
very complex – in fact I’d argue
that he’s a glorified Deus ex
machina, and I wrote him – but
David seems to understand the
character rather well (or lack
thereof).

Audition notes:
It took David two tries to properly
get comfortable and into
character, the second one is the
one where he’s giving it more of
his all.
He's got gusto, I’ll give him that.
Small character roll, but he was
enthusiastic about it.
