As part of the Contingency Plan of the DepEd San Jose Del Monte, the DRRM
developed the School Readiness and Preparedness Checklist to serve as guide in
the implementation of Health and Safety Protocol to mitigate and control the
transmission of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. The implementation and
actual validation of learning centers were conducted prior to the opening of classes from
September 2021-July 2022 and were collaborated by DRRM and headed by SHU
Team. Also, the Latest School Safety Assessment Checklist developed by DepEd
Central Office were also used to enhance school safety and health protocol prior to the
implementation of limited face-to-face learning modality
A. Activation
The activation of DepEd’s SJDM Contingency Plan for COVID – 19 Pandemic is
aligned with the Harmonized National Contingency Plan / IATF recommendations.
Afterwards the RD directs the SDS’s and School Heads who shall mobilize and
implement necessary response and mitigation actions at the divisions down the
school level. This include any of the following triggers:

D. Coordination
School Health and Nutrition Unit / DRRM shall monitor the COVID-19 situation, if
there’s a report from the field / DepEd offices regarding the possible cases of
COVID-19, the SHN will initially assess the situation and refer the same to the DOH
for usual action. The Department of Health monitors and provides information on the
COVID-19 cases, as well as other specialized information and services. Messages
will also be issued giving general advice on precautions to be taken to prevent and
control the spread of the diseases, followed by supplementary information and
advice as the situation develops. The Division DRRM / SHU will coordinate with the
CDRRMO to contained the suspected person and provide COVID -19 Management
Protocol.
