Create a CV from the EM for the DUW. Reload a new DUW.

Google English Total Commander and download a copy of the FTP program to your laptop and
also a HyperTerminal or ProComm.

You will need your RBS cable for the 2G to telnet in the DUW from LMT A.

From the site connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port on the laptop and connect the other
end to the LMT B of the DUW…..You must have the RBS EM on your laptop. Put in the address
in your LAN connection 169.254.1.2 255.255.0.0 and the Default gateway 169.254.1.1. Load
the EM and connect to the IP or create the RBS IP 169.254.1.1 and connect.

From the drop down menu select the Software option.

Select CV from the menu.

Please make note of the File that is in the Startable or Executing mode you will have to return
that file to that same status.

Then select create CV

In the Name Field put the name of the site you are creating a CV for….ie Nichols_Town

Click apply and then ok, click refresh and the file you created should be in the menu to the
bottom, highlight the file, right click on it and set it to startable, exit the RBS EM.

Start the Total Commander and connect to the FTP on the menu buttons.

A window will pop up “connect to FTP server”

In the session field type DUW 6201, Host name 169.254.1.1, UN: rbs, PW: rbs then connect.

On the left side of the Total commander are the DUW files and on the right side are your laptop
files.

Make a folder on your desktop DUW CV Backup File for you to dump the files in.

Go back to your dual screen, on the right click on the down arrow by the C: and select the file
you created.
Open the DUW CV file and drag the file C or C2 from the left to the right and dump it into the
DUW CV backup file, the C should turn red and a window will open downloading the files from
the DUW C to the DUW CV back up folder. Do the same thing for the D. When complete the box
will close.

New DUW

Put in the new DUW and connect the cables and power on the DUW. Connect the Ethernet
cable to the RJ45 port of the laptop to the DUW LMT B with the same IP 169.254.1.1 and
connect the RBS cable to the USB serial to USB converter on your laptop to the DUW LMT A.

From the Hyperterm/ProComm window after you provision it for 9600-8 none-1, hit enter and
log in UN rbs PW rbs. Type in “vols” and check the disk for C or C2 and D.

DUW in maintenance mode……reload-- enter

Formatting the DUW

Type in (Formathd /C2) note the space. Hit enter and “y” data will be destroy… Y enter.

Formathd /D, enter….Y enter, Y enter, then reload --, enter “Stop due to back up…” enter,

Type vols, enter, observe /C and /D, if C2 is there instead of C go back to the DUW backup file
and rename C to C2… you should now have /C2 and /D in your directory.

Reload -- for backup mode

Configuring the IP

Type in the command “ifconfig le0 169.254.1.1 255.255.0.0” then enter, space being observed
Ifconfig not found should come up, at this point you should have command of both ports LMT A
and LMT B.

Go to Total Commander, go to FTP, click connect a window should come up, go to the desk top
files and to the DUW backup files, take from the right C2 and drag it to the left into C2 click ok
when the prompt comes up. Make sure the files are being transferred in the screen up top in
the white space. If the file are not being transferred and look like nothing is happening, you
might have to reload the file again from the EM. When the screen closes then do D.
When this is finish then go back to the Hyperterm/ProComm and type reload the check to see if
the site is up. Sectors up, check mark light is steady, TN A light is steady and 1a light on the SIU
is flashing steadily and the check on the power supply is steady.

Verify that the 3/4G is up on your phone if not power cycle the DUW.

PLEASE Note: When you finish this procedure please make note of the file that is in the
executing or startable mode, delete your CV you created and set the file back to the way you
met it.
