 1. Introduction

1.1 Purpose

The purpose of the document is to gather the complete requirements of

ABC Organization and map the expectations between ABC Oragnization
and XYZ Company
This document will provide an overview layout of the complete project.
This document will specify technology, different modules, Logins and
brief features with the aim of having them in LMS.

1.2 Objectives

The Business Requirements is the end deliverable of the Business

Requirements Definition phase. It serves as a communications vehicle for
everyone affected by the project. It summarizes the analysis that has
been completed to date, but is a living document that changes as new
information is added and as approved changes in functionality and scope
occur. Its audience (Stakeholders) is everyone who is affected by the
development effort. Its purpose is to:
● Provide a detailed view of the project.
● Build partnerships with other areas of the organization.
● Improve quality by catching and correcting errors, invalid
assumptions, etc. early in project development.
● Provide clarity for completing specifications and the
development of the product.

1.3 Document Conventions

● XYZ will henceforth be referred to as XY.

● ABC will henceforth be referred to as AB.

● Business Requirement documents will henceforth be

referred to as BRD.

AB wants to develop a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver
their classes and content to their students effectively and securely.

2.4. LMS Details

2.4.1. Logins
There is only one login page through which the admin, teachers and
students will login with their unique ID’s and passwords. The data is
bifurcated according to the login types.

2.4.1.1 Admin/User Login:

Super login access to all modules and features with permission controls
to other user types.

2.4.1.2 Sub admin Login:

Sub-Admin has the permissions which are given by the admin. Admin can
create different sub-admin with different roles.

2.4.1.3 Student Login:

Student has their unique id and password; with which they can login the
portal and access the content assigned by the admin.

3. Student Panel:
3.1 Profile:
Student profile has some features that the student can access. They can
change their passwords; they can update their information etc.

3.1.1 My profile
Student can update or edit their profile according to their need. They can
update it or edit it whenever they want.

Following are the details that are needed to edit the student’s profile-

o Student’s picture- Student can enter their profile picture according

to them; they can even update their profile picture. They can insert
the picture from their directory.
o User name*-Student have to enter their username.
o Full name*- Student have to enter their full name.
o Gender*-Student have to select their gender accordingly.
o Date of birth-Student can also enter their date of birth. They can
select it from the popup calendar.

3.1.2 Change password
Student can also change their password whenever they want. It increases
the security for the student portal.

Following are the details that need to be filled in order to change the
passwords-

o Old password*- Student have to insert the old password.

o New password*-Student has to insert the new password which
he/she wants to keep.
o Update-Student can update their password by clicking on this
button.

Validation: Student must have to enter a min. of 8 digit password.

3.1.3 Chatbot

This chat bot will be available all through the student panel so that if in
case student faces any issues then he/she could contact to the admin
through this. MLC admin will handle the queries on his/her own.MG will
not have any role in this.

3.1.4 Logout
By clicking on this the student will be logged out of the portal.

3.2 Dashboard:

3.2.1 Overview:
In this module, an overview of student progress will be shown.

A welcome note is shown to student on this overview tab like Welcome back
user, track your progress to improve skill.

3.2.1.1 Course Drop-Down:

Here student can select the course for which he/she wants to see the analytics.
Once student selects the course analytics of that course will appear to the
student.

3.2.1.2 Overall Percentile:
Here student will see his/her overall percentile in that particular course which
he/she has selected from the drop-down.

The overall percentile depends on the scores of the student in the topic tests
sectional tests and mock tests of that particular course.

3.2.1.3 Paper Wise Performance:

It will display the graphical representation of the papers attempted by the
students. Student’s performance will be displayed here according to the
test papers student attempts. Marks will be shown according to the test
papers attempted.

3.2.1.4 Recent 5 of all the submitted tests

This module will display the sorted result list of recent 5 submitted tests
along with the attributes such as –

o Paper name- It will display the name of the test.0

 o Score- It will display the total score of the student that he/she has
achieved.
o Percentage- It will display the total percentage of the student
scored in that particular test.
o Progress- This attribute will display the progress of the student from
the previous test.

3.2.1.5 Question wise Analytics

It represents the statistical as well as the graphical representation of the
student’s performance in the test papers he/she attempted till now.
 Correct-It displays total number of questions done correctly by the
student in that course.
 Incorrect- It displays the number of questions done wrong by the
student in tha course.
 Skipped-It displays the number of questions skipped by the student
in that course.

3.2.2 Subject-wise Dashboard:

3.2.2.1 Course Tab

Here student can select the subject in that course for which he/she wants to see
the analytics.
Once the student selects the subject from the drop-down menu analytics of that
subject will appear on the screen.

3.2.2.2 Topic Score:

3.2.2.2.1 Module Level:

All the modules of the subject with student’s skill score in the particulars will be
displayed here.

Here he/she can find what is his/her performance in the particular modules.

This module score is calculated on the basis of the average of topic test, section
test and mock test of that particular module.

3.2.2.2.2 Topic Level:

All the topics of the subject along with student’s skill score in that particulars will
be displayed in the form of bar graph here.
 Select module- Here student can select the module for which he/she
wants to see the analysis.

Here he/she can find what is his/her performance in the particular topic.

This topic score is calculated on the basis of the average of topic test, section
test and mock test of that particular topic.

3.2.3 Other Requirements of Client

Mainly the Explanation of the requirements with the Screen shot of the
functionality is defined in it.
