Being a part of The Department of Development of economic and social sectors of economy, the
division under my authority is responsible for:
- Conducting periodic analyses and preparing proposals to adjust the regulatory framework to
meet the long-term development goals of national economy;
- Analyses and proposals on diversification of national economy and development the share of
non-oil sectors;
- Tracking the development tendencies of priority sectors of national economy, primarily all
branches of industry (including oil industry), agriculture, retail and services;
- Review and verification of draft of annual “Azerbaijan State Demand on Geological Exploration”,
participation in activities addressed to improve the legal base of environmental legal framework.
- Preparation of mid-term forecasts and regulation measures for the development of non-oil
industries also participation in the process of overall economic forecasting with financial
programming models;
- Management of statistical databases used in financial programming models;
- Participation in preparation of annual “Fuel-Energy Balance” of the national economy.
- Review and verification of annual budget estimates of publicly owned large taxpayers in energy
sector, primarily, SOCAR and “Azerenergy” OJSC;
- Participation in the process of privatization of industrial enterprises as the representative of the
Ministry of Economy.

and Finance of Korea and the Korea Development Institute.

Development of Special Economic Zones and Industrial Parks in Azerbaijan

The project was implemented jointly by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and
Korea Industrial Complex Corporation to assist the organization of newly established industrial
parks in Azerbaijan and prepare policy recommendation for the government of Azerbaijan.
