Why Asian and European countries are dominating the Sport, and what could
be the factors attributed to their success?

About 90% of events at the Olympics are elites’ sports. only done by wealthy
individuals from wealthy nations. Poverty to a greater extent has affected the development
of African sports. Unlike Europe, Asia and America basic infrastructure already exist for
decades and decades, in short it has developed to an extent of even having state of the art
sporting infrastructure.

The G7 bloc is not fighting poverty at all instead they are also maintaining their pride
through pride e.g. Olympics, commonwealth games and even world cups. They have passed
the stage of self-actualizations, employment high enough to feed its citizens. Sport is
actually a luxury to a certain extent which with time has developed into a bug industry too
generating millions of dollars for sports men, coaches, clubs, sport equipment companies,
federations, sports betting institutes companies and development of good sporting facilities
to train and developing skills at tender age.

Developing countries because of poverty, sporting facilities come after basic needs
which are yet to be addressed such as hospitals, schools, roads and hunger. You can’t build
a stadium like Webley when there is a shortage of clinics & hospitals or other social facilities
needed to fight poverty. At times full filling a fixture is always a struggle, its either the
players fight for bonuses or the teams face logistics challenges to attended tournaments
hosted abroad.

In short you cannot compete with these superpowers on a hungry stomach, until
poverty eliminated from poor countries we can start expecting better performance.
