Creating CAD models

The features of my prototype will include an application for your smartphone. The prototype has a
home screen that will show you which devices are currently connected. Before any device can be
connected the application will require you to be connected to the WIFI that all devices are running on.
From there you can add and modify the Smart devices by selecting them. Once selected it will show the
options to either optimize the device and/or prioritize the device on the WIFI. By clicking Optimize it will
ask you to allow updates and access to cache Data, once allowed it will clear cache data of the
application every 24 hours. When back on the home screen the application will show which device
connected has current priority on the WIFI and which devices have been optimized.
The CAD software is easy to use and has very little to no learning curve. If you go through the lessons on
tinker, you will be familiar with the software in no time. This will benefit the design process by making it
easy to create a 3D model that can help give life to an idea. Making a model for my design (not on CAD)
helped me understand what I was trying to create and how I wanted it to function.

Becoming better at creating designs on CAD will encourage me to buy another 3D printer and create
physical prototypes of whatever I may be trying to build. Such as creating moving parts for animatronics
that are too obscure to find online. It's exciting to be able to design something from virtually nothing
and have a prototype ready to be 3D printed by the end of the day.
