STITCH GLOSSARY
Short Row: A row that reverses direction before the
row is complete, often more than once in the row,
used to create shaping.
W&T: Wrap and turn, a method of concealing a hole
created in short row shaping.
When knitting: With yarn held to purl side (or back),
slip stitch to be wrapped purlwise, then bring yarn
between needles to the front, slip that same stitch
back to the left needle, then bring the yarn back to
the purl side. Turn your work.
When purling: With yarn held to purl side (or front),
slip stitch to be wrapped purlwise, then bring yarn
between needles to the back, slip that same stitch
back to the left needle, and bring the working yarn
back to the purl side. Turn your work.
Pick up wraps
Each time you come to a wrapped stitch when
knitting, sl wrapped st to RH needle, slip the wrap
back over stitch and onto needle, sl st and its wrap
back to LH needle then knit the wrap together with
its accompanying stitch

15 sts, pm, k5, work Row 1 of Chart B over 12 sts, k5,
pm, work in Seed St to end.
Row 2: Work in Seed St to first marker, sm, p5, work
Row 2 of Chart B, p5, sm, work in Seed St to end.
Work even in pat as established until sleeve measures
4” from beg, end on WS.
Inc Row (RS): K1, M1L, work to last st, M1R, k1 – 2 sts
inc’d. Rep Inc Row every 3(2-1½-1¼-1-¾-¾)” 5(7-9-
11-13-16-18) times more, working incs into Seed St
– 64(68-72-76-80-86-90) sts. Work even until sleeve

Dec Row (RS): K1, k2tog, work to last 3 sts, SSK, k1
– 2 sts dec’d. Rep Dec Row every RS row 15(16-19-19-
22-26-27) times more, then every 4th row 4(4-3-4-3-
1-2) times, end on WS. Bind off remaining 18 sts.
FINISHING
Sew raglan sleeve caps to raglan armholes. Sew side
and sleeve seams.
Frontbands/Collar: With RS facing, using circular
needle, beg at lower right front edge, pick up and
knit 80 sts to beg of neck shaping, pm, pick up and
k47(49-51-53-55-57-59) sts along right front neck
edge, 16 sts across top of right sleeve, 36 sts across
back neck edge, 16 sts across top of left sleeve, 47(49-
51-53-55-57-59) sts along left front neck edge to beg
of neck shaping, pm, then pick up and k80 sts along
left front edge – 322(326-330-334-338-342-346) sts.
Beg with Row 2, work in ribbing as for back for 5
rows, end on WS.
Buttonhole Row (RS): Work 4 sts, bind off 2 sts, *
work until there are 8 sts on RH needle after bound-
off sts, bind off 2 sts, rep from * 6 times more, work to
end – 8 buttonholes.
Next Row (WS): Work in ribbing as established, cast
on 2 sts over each pair of sts bound off on previous
row. Work even until band measures 2” from beg,
end on WS.
Collar: Short Rows (Beg on RS): Work to 4 sts
before second marker, w&t, work to 4 sts before first
marker, w&t. * Work to 4 sts before last wrapped st,
w&t, work to 4 sts before wrapped st, w&t, rep from *
11 times more.
Next Row: Work across to end, picking up each wrap
as you come to it. Work even for 1 row, end on WS.
Bind off in ribbing. Sew on buttons. Weave in all
ends. Block as desired.
