Significance of the study

This study is conducted to know what programs made by LGU/Barangay that residents have been
practicing in the midst of pandemic. The Proper knowledge of how to dispose Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) to avoid contaminating others.
LGU/Barangay - This study can benefit the barangay officials to improve their program with their
waste disposal. Since this could pose a threat to other people when it is not done properly.
Household - It is important for them to know the pros and cons of the manner when it comes to
proper waste segregation in time of pandemic. In knowing and practicing these things, everyone
will be safer and hopefully free from the virus.
Researchers – This study will benefit the students involved in this research during this crucial
time with the rapid spread and waves of the virus this provides insight into different types of solid
wastes generated during the pandemic. The researcher’s advantage here is to know the broad
information regarding.

Future Researchers – This study can serve as reference to the future researchers especially to
those who are willing to know this and make some related research or studies.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

The research study was conducted to determine the awareness of the community with their
proper waste disposal in time of pandemic. This research focuses on Protective Personal
Equipment (PPE) waste disposal that aims to know the Waste Management initiates of the
LGU/Barangay and how the residents is practicing the program. And will be done through the
utilization of questionnaires to Barangay Resident of Moonwalk, Paranaque City.
