Raising our own

Before I’m not knowledgeable about the native pigs, the native pigs are an
original Filipino pig. Honestly, I’m more familiar on white pigs or standard pigs
because it is a thing I see when I was a young. Sir Rico Panaligan stated that in
native pigs there is money and it can be a business. Native pigs are distinguished
by their dark coloring. The cheap capital needed of native pig farming is an
advantage. They are simple to raise and respond well to local conditions. Native
pigs can also survive by utilizing local feed sources and employing modest
management techniques. Native pigs are organically and naturally raised, native
pigs are healthier to consume because it is less in fat. In business advantages is
something that we need. Raising native pigs has many potentials, we are Filipinos
are knowing likely in lechon. Native pigs can be. Filipino festivities will not be
complete without a roast pig (lechong baboy). A favorite delicacy among Filipinos
that is served during feasts and other special occasions because of its special taste
and the crispiness of the roasted skins.

Also, in this webinar I see the capability of native pigs over the standard
pigs. Compared to imported pig breeds, native pigs are easier and cheaper to raise
because they are well-adapted to local conditions and do not require expensive
housing and care. They are only fed with organic materials available in the
household or farm like food wastes, vegetable scraps and plant leaves. Native pigs
can be an alternative when it comes in meat production. Native pigs have thin back
fats and meat that is high in lean. Native pigs can eat high-fiber diets, and their
grass foraging contributes to their pork's well-known quality. Today’s webinar I
actually encouraged by the speaker to raise native pigs because it has many
advantages. As a youth, as agriculturist student major in animal science I want to
try and raise native pigs. Native pigs have many capabilities and potentials. It can
be a business and there is money. In this webinar I’ve learned about raising native
pigs.
