1. What different room layouts can be used for functions? Discuss with pictures.

Auditorium Style - Rows of seats facing the audience are

commonly referred to as auditorium setups in the theatre. Short
presentations or large groups that don't necessitate extensive
note-taking can be accommodated with this setup.

Banquet Style - The banquet style room layout consists of a circular

table with participants facing one another, much like a dining table.
This promotes complete engagement between those seated at the
same table. It is frequently used to facilitate interactive seminars that include
group discussions and activities.

Hollow Square Style - Appropriate for gatherings of fewer than 40

people with a group leader or panel at the centre of the setup.

Classroom - Ideally suited for lengthy talks. Tables will need to be leased for
large groups.

U-Shape Style - U-shaped seating arrangement is exactly what its

name implies – a letter U configuration of tables and chairs placed
in an open-ended fashion with participants facing inward. It is a
traditional boardroom arrangement that allows participants to face
both each other and the speaker.
 Conference Style - The conference room arrangement is a vital aspect
of the conference and is critical to its success. This reference guide
details the many configurations of conference rooms.

Cocktail Style - Throughout the area, there are a few cocktail tables
(upper, bar-style tables). Recommended for social occasions when the
primary objective is to mingle and network. Typically, only a few chairs
are scattered across the space. Typically, food and beverages are given via tray
to delegates throughout the room.

Cabaret Style – Is similar to banquet style, round tables have chairs

situated halfway around them, affording all delegates a clear view
to the front of the room.
