“If you move data quality upstream and embed it
in the business process, it’s much better than
trying to catch flawed data downstream and then
fixing it in all the applications that used it.”

Integration with Oracle GL Cloud
Using Data Management/Integration

• Extract Balances from Oracle GL Cloud and load

to any EPM Cloud application
• Write-back to Oracle GL Cloud
• Budgets and Budgetary Control
• Actuals
• Drill-through from EPM Cloud to Oracle GL
Cloud

Note: Metadata loading via ERP Adapter or native format.

On roadmap for Data Management
Oracle HCM Cloud to EPM
Pre-built Integration using Data Management
• Predefined content for Workforce Planning
• Standard HCM Extract
• Each person/resource in HCM
• Customize as needed
• Pre-built mapping
• Data and Metadata
• Supports WFP and SWFP
• Customize pre-built integration if needed
• Framework for custom user defined HCM
extracts
• Template upgrades supported
Oracle NetSuite to EPM Cloud
Pre-built Integration

• Netsuite “Saved Search” available as data source

• Any saved search - GL, AR, AP, etc.
• Production and sandbox environments
• Licensed from NetSuite for Planning
• Apply NetSuite Bundle
• Works for Data and Metadata
• Customers with NetSuite license and EPM license
may apply bundle and run integration
Oracle Projects Cloud (PPM) to EPM Cloud
Manual Process – direct integration under development now

Projects Cloud to EPM Cloud

• Export Project Details and Budgets
• OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence)
• Load with Data Management or Native Planning
EPM Cloud to Projects Cloud
• Export using Data Management or Smart view
• Import to Projects with FBDI
• FBDI – File Based Data Import with Project and Budget
spreadsheet

White paper available from Oracle support (KM2407735.1)

Oracle Integration Cloud Service (OIC)

• Orchestrate REST API calls – Cloud to Cloud and On-

Premises
• On premises to Cloud Options
• ICS File Adapter
• Requires on-prem agent
• 10 MB file size limitation
• ICS FTP Adapter
• Requires ICS FTPAdapter and on-prem FTP Server
• On-Prem FTP Server requires public IP Address
• 1 GB file size limitation
• Drill-through supported for Data Management load

EPM Integration Agent

EPM Cloud
• Extends connectivity between EPM cloud applications and
any data source
• Lightweight footprint similar to EPMAutomate with minimal SQL Query &
Parameters Data File
configuration
• Connectivity Details Securely Maintained in Cloud
On Premises
• Pre-seeded with extracts for EBS and Peoplesoft GL
EPM Agent
• Users may define custom extracts for other sources
• Extendable with pre/post process scripting Query Data

• End-to-end processing orchestrated from cloud

• Drill-through from cloud into on-premises data without a URL
• It’s really just a data source for an integration EBS,
PeopleSoft, Relational
Data sources, 3rd part
cloud api
Why is the EPM Integration Agent so important?
• Eliminates the need for on-premises FDMEE
• Provides connectivity to everything/anything
EPM Cloud
• SQL for on-premises sources
• Scripting extensions to call any 3rd party API SQL Query &
• Workday, SFDC, etc. Parameters Data File

• Connectivity without FDMEE

• Users decide where/how to drill On Premises
EPM Agent
• Drill into source data with or without a URL
Query Data
• Load detail into EPM cloud, or maintain on
source
EBS,
PeopleSoft, Relational Data
sources, 3rd party cloud api

22
Frequently Asked Questions

• Does the EPM Agent automate the integration process?

• No, it just provides access to on-premises systems or other systems via
scripting.
• How is an agent based integration scheduled?
• The agent is just a data source, and the integration is scheduled using a
bat file with EPMAutomate or a REST client, or via the UI.
• Does the Agent work with EDM?
• No, it’s only a data source for an integration. Orchestrate REST calls with
a REST client.

23
ERP Cloud Integration via Data Management/Integration
• Define ERP Connection
• Specify Extract and Parameters
• Map to Target Application
ERP • Run Integration
Cloud • 100% User configurable

• Existing or New Extract EPM

• Financials Cloud
• AP, AR, FA…
• Procurement
• Project Portfolio Management

24
Performance Improvements
▪ Changed large insert/delete to batch
1 MM rows uses batch
Manage with batch size in preferences
▪ Target Expressions in SUI
Use instead of mapping
Better performance than mapping
▪ Simplified Workflow Mode
Data not copied to workbench
Extends data load to ~ 10 MM rows
▪ Full – No Archive Mode
Data deleted from workbench after load
View before load – no drill
