The Listening Script:

The Statue of Liberty is a worldwide


monument situated in Liberty Island in New York,
USA. It was a gift of friendship from the people of
France to the United States of America to celebrate
the independence day. It is a universal symbol of
freedom and democracy. It is one of the most famous
American landmarks. The Statue of Liberty was To introduce the topic
designed and built in 1875 in France by the sculptor
Frederic Bartholdi. The project took nine years and
was finally completed in 1884. It was made of
copper. The lady liberty is 44 meters tall. The head
measures five meters and the arm is thirteen meters.
It was transported to the USA by the sea then it was
rebuilt there.
Today, 15000 tourists visit the Statue everyday.
That’s about 4 million visitors yearly.
