Lesson: Personal pronouns

In Español, as well as English, there are words used to identify and refer to the personal pronouns of
others as well as yourself. These words are used in substitution for the proper name of an individual.

These words in English are words like I, you, he, she, it and they. There are a defined set of words in
Español for these pronouns.

These pronouns in español are as follows: Yo - I

Tú - You

Él/Lá/Usted – He/She/It

Nosotros - We

Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes/Vosotros – They

For Example..

Yo soy el jefe – I am the boss

Tú trabajas aquí – You work here

Él esta bien – He’s fine

Lá trabaja en una escuela – She works in a school

Usted es mi profesor – You are my teacher.

Ellos son mis amigos – They’re my friends

Ellas tienen mochilas rojas – They have red backpacks.

Ustedes son los estudiantes mejores – You are the best students
