0 INTRODUCTION ON GOAL 15: LIFE ON LAND

Protecting and restoring biodiversity and terrestrial ecosystems present in each country, such
as forests, marshes, pastures, dry land, and mountains, is essential to maintaining land life. It
advocates halting logging, debris, and overgrazing, as well as reversing the development of
deserts and soil degradation.

For reference, the forest on our planet covers 30.7 percent of its surface. It is essential for
mitigating climate change, maintaining biodiversity, and providing houses for indigenous
peoples, in addition to providing food safety and shelter. We would be able to boost natural
resource management and increase soil productivity by ensuring forests.

As a result, numerous measures and actions are being undertaken to manage the forest and
battle desertification in order to prevent this from occurring. There are now two international
accords in the works that encourage the responsible use of these resources. As a result,
financial efforts were also made to preserve biodiversity. As a result, immediate action is
required to limit the loss of natural ecosystems and biodiversity that are part of our common
legacy, as well as to promote global food and water safety, climate change mitigation and
adaptation, and peace and security.
