Welcome To M-TIPB
The MSME Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau was
established in September 2019 with the intent to promote trade, investments
and exports in the MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprise) sector in
Tamil Nadu. The organization supports MSMEs in various aspects related to
their business, including discovering new market opportunities for products of
MSMEs in the overseas market, facilitating Government clearance processes,
providing new and innovative solutions for bottlenecks in technology, finance
and management.

The MSME Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau


Department was established in September 2019 with the intent to promote
trade, investments and exports in the MSME (Micro Small and Medium
Enterprise) sector in Tamil Nadu. The organization supports MSMEs in
various aspects related to their business, including discovering new market
opportunities for products of MSMEs in the overseas market, smoothening
Government clearance processes, providing new and innovative solutions
for bottlenecks in technology, finance and management.
Our Vision
To be the springboard of professional and economic success for MSMEs,
and leapfrog them onto the international stage.

Our Mission
To spearhead promotion of trade and business activities of Micro,

Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of Tamil Nadu in the national and

international arena.To create a facilitating ecosystem with supportive pillars

across regulatory, financial, technological, organisational and marketing domains

for nurturing MSMEs to emerge as productive, modern businesses.


Schemes

The Government supports MSMEs with policy support and various


schemes. The main focus is to promote economic and social
development of the country by fostering entrepreneurship with a socially
inclusive policy. Promotion of women entrepreneurs is another focus
area of the Government. The schemes are available across the life cycle
of an MSME unit. Support is given in the areas of self employment,
financing, marketing, skill training, infrastructure and certification. Please
check the schemes section to view the various schemes available for
MSMEs.

● New Entrepreneur cum Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS)
To provide subsidy and financial support through banks / FIs
to first generation entrepreneurs set up manufacturing/ service enterprises.

● Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP)


To create employment opportunities to the marginalized
sections of the society with financial assistance through Banks/FIs.
● Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
To create self employment opportunity in rural and urban
areas with financial assistance through Banks/FIs.

● Capital Subsidy for Small and Medium Enterprises


To promote establishment and expansion of SMEs by
offering subsidy on investment in plant and machinery.

● Low Tension Power Tariff Subsidy for Micro Enterprises


To subsidy LT power consumption charges during the
initial period of commencement of operation by MSMEs.
● Generator Subsidy for Micro Enterprises
To subsidy cost of Generator set purchased by
manufacturing micro enterprises in the State.

● Back-Ended Interest Subsidy


Interest subsidy for MSMEs on their Term loans obtained
for technology upgradation/modernization and Credit Guarantee Fund Trust
Scheme(CGTMSE)

● Promotion of Energy Audit & Conservation of Energy (PEACE)


To incentivize MSMEs to adopt energy efficient technology
and machinery for optimizing energy consumption
● Skill Training & Employment Scheme
Assist the MSMEs by sharing the training cost of MSMEs who
provide on the job training

● Scheme for Quality Certification (Q-Cert)


To encourage MSMEs to acquire, national and global, quality
standard certifications for process and product

● Purchase Preference for MSEs


Purchase Preference for Micro and Small Enterprises in
Government purchases on participation in the tender process
● Micro & Small Enterprises Facilitation Councils (MSEFC)/ MSME
SAMADHAAN Scheme
To facilitate settlement of delayed payments to Micro and
Small enterprises for the goods/services supplied by them

● Patent Registration
Subsidy on cost of Patent Registration in India or abroad

● Trade Marks or Geographical Indications


Subsidy on the cost of Trade Marks or Geographical
Indications (GI) registrations in India or abroad
● Assistance for Listing
Assistance for listing and raising money in the SME stock
exchange

● Capital Subsidy for Micro Enterprises


To promote establishment and expansion of Micro enterprises
by offering subsidies on investment in plant and machinery.

● Additional Capital Subsidy for Micro Enterprises


To promote establishment and expansion of Microenterprises
by offering additional subsidy on investment in plant and machinery.
● Pay Roll Subsidy
To support the MSMEs by reimbursing the the employer's EPF
contribution

● Additional Subsidy for Special Category


To promote establishment and expansion of MSMEs of women,
SC/ST, differently abled and transgender entrepreneurs

● Promotion of clean technology


To promote cleaner and environment friendly technologies at
MSME units
● Additional Capital Subsidy for E-Vehicle sector
To promote MSME units engaged in E-Vehicle component
and charging infrastructure manufacturing.

● Incentive for scaling up


To promote expansion of MSMEs by offering subsidy on
investment in plant and machinery.

● Capital Subsidy for Thrust Sector


To promote establishment and expansion of MSME units
in the Thrust sector by offering subsidies on investment in plant and
machinery.
● International Trade Fair - Assistance
Financial Assistance for participation in International Trade Fair

● Reimbursement of Hall Rent


Reimbursement of Hall Rent to MSME Associations for conducting
exhibitions

● Reimbursement of Stamp duty and Registration Charge


Reimbursement of Stamp Duty and registration charges for
micro and small enterprises at the time of purchase of land
● Rebate on Stamp Duty and Registration Charge
Rebate on stamp Duty and Registration charge for Micro and
Small enterprises

● Stamp Duty Exemption


Stamp duty exemption on mortgaged and pledged documents
for micro enterprises
