Materials Handling Design
Equipment:
Refrigerator
The fundamental reason for having a refrigerator is to keep food
cold. Cold temperatures help food stay fresh longer. The basic
idea behind refrigeration is to slow down the activity of bacteria
(which all food contains) so that it takes longer for the bacteria
to spoil the food.

Mixing Bowl
Larger bowls are most often used to prepare medium amounts of
sauces or for mixing dried ingredients. The larger bowls are
traditionally used to mix batters, beat large volumes of eggs, prepare
whipping cream, or mix salads and dressings.

.Tong
Tongs that have long arms terminating in small flat circular ends of
tongs and are pivoted at a joint close to the handle used to handle
delicate objects. Common fire-tongs, used for picking up pieces of
coal and placing them on a fire without burning fingers or getting
them dirty are of this type.

. Kitchen Knife
It can be used for mincing, slicing, and chopping vegetables, slicing
meat, and disjointing large cuts.

7. Ice Cooler
An ice cooler box is meant to insulate, meaning the heat
from the outside barely makes any difference. A big chunk
of ice requires a lot of time and heat energy to melt. Even if
the ice chunk starts melting, it keeps the food or
beverages cold that are touching it.

8. Tupper wares
Tupperware is a home products line that includes
preparation, storage, and serving products for the kitchen
and home.

PAGE 34
An oven is a thermally insulated chamber
used for the heating, baking, or drying of a
substance,[1] and most commonly used for
cooking. Kilns and furnaces are special-
purpose ovens used in pottery and
metalworking, respectively.
