Fundamentals of Infantry Operations

I’ve learned that fundamentals of infantry operations is that the

military's main land combat element is the infantry. In times of peace,
the infantry's job is to keep our country safe and ready to defend it.
The infantry's mission in combat is to capture or destroy enemy
ground units as well as resist attacks. The four aspects of combat
power that guide infantry units are: maneuver, firepower, protection,
and leadership. An infantry soldier is generally what comes to mind
when you think of the word soldier. The military's main land combat
element is the infantry. In times of peace, the infantry's job is to keep
our country safe and ready to defend it. The infantry's role in combat
is to capture or destroy enemy ground units as well as repel enemy
attacks.Infantrymen are ground troops who engage in close-quarters
battle with the adversary. They engage and destroy opposing ground
forces with weapons and equipment. One of the most physically
demanding and psychologically taxing military occupations is that of
an infantryman.
