Reading
Hello boys and girls – hope you are all well, keeping safe, washing your
hands and being good. Hope you are helping around the house and
learning something new – maybe you are helping mom and dad (or
whoever you are with) to cook or bake. I heard that even Mrs Hutton
has baked a banana breadJ. Most importantly – next to keeping safe –
we hope that you are all READING every day. We can’t wait to hear you
all read again. We are also looking forward to hearing what you have
been reading. Maybe you could write down all the stories you have
been reading. If you don’t have any books you have your Rainbow
Books (the one you are working in) - there are many stories in this book.
So please READ every dayJ. Happy reading all!

Rainbow books – Maths, English and Life Skills

• Please continue working in these books.
• Remember to tick off on your list as you finish a page.
• Remember to write the date on each page.
• Where possible please get mom or dad to check and even mark
your work. (thank you so much)
• If you are not sure what to do and there is nobody that can help
you, then leave it out. This is all revision work and work that we
have covered, so look carefully before you just don’t do it. Maybe
try it again the next day.

Remember to keep moving and exercising your body too – not just your
brain.
• Walk on the spot – you may not have a lot of space to run in.
• Lift your knees up high as if you were marching, but stay on one
spot.
• Jump on the spot.
• Do star jumps.
• Bend your legs and then stand up straight.
• Hold your arms out straight to the sides of your body and move
your hands up and down and around.
• Hold your arms out straight to the sides of your body and move
them in small circle movements.

Something fun to do:

• Wash your hands Song / Music for Kids / The Singing Walrus - a
fun YouTube video to watch (only if you can)
• Or sing the following song – don’t forget to do the actions
