BRIGADA ESKWELA 2021

NARRATIVE REPORT
As it prepares for the opening of the school year 2021-2022 on September 30, 2021, the
Department of Education (Deped) launched 2021 Brigada Eskwela Virtual Kick off last August 3,
2021 with the theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan”

Brigada Eskwela is an annual activity for the Department of Education. Traditionally, all school in
the country together with school personnel, parents, community, and stakeholders physically went to
school to clean, paint, and do minor repairs.

Due to pandemic, mass gathering is limited, and Brigada Eskwela Traditional Concept may not
happen but still be dependent on quarantine classification per area.

Pontacon Elementary School participated in 2021 Brigada Eskwela strictly complying with
protocols on social distancing and implemented precautionary measures consistent with IATF health
protocols.

Barangay Unit is one of the primary stakeholdersof Pontacon Elementary School which annually
give its support and assistance to school, that is why they are first organization that we confront to ask
support and assistance to school preparedness. We also confront other stakeholders that were willing to
share their blessings in providing items that were useful for the Brigada Eskwela and opening of class.
The school also conducted an orientation activity with parents about support preparedness strategies to
let them know the significance of their role for the success of Brigada Eskwela. We also Encourage the
Community to Volunteer in Brigada Eskwela by inviting them to visit our school and join our Breigada
Eskwela Activities.

Together with the Barangay Unit, teachers, parents, stakeholders, and community, we actively
participated in school repairs and improvements in which cleaning, painting, repairs and cutting of
hazardous tree branches was mostly done.

Teachers also monitors and facilitates the volunteers for the Brigada Eskwela to guide them to
make the 2021 Brigada Eskwela a successful one.
