ROUND THE TABLE

OVERVIEW:
Round the table is a type of group discussion that involves people
sharing ideas or activities. People in the GD are connected with one
basic idea.
There are usually 7-10 participants in a group. The group of candidates
is given a topic or a situation which could be either factual, abstract or
case based, and typically given some time to think and make notes
about the same.
The group of candidates is, and then asked to discuss it the topic
among themselves for a specific duration for 10 minutes.

STRUCTURE:
Round 1
Each group will have 7-10 candidates. A topic or situation will be given,
on the basis of judging criteria, one will be selected for round 2.

Round 2
Selected participants will be given a case based topic on which they
have to debate and on the basis of judging criteria, winners will be
selected.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

Allow everyone a chance to speak.
Listen respectfully and actively.
Criticize ideas, not individuals.
Commit to learning, not debating.
Any use of inappropriate words will be
considered as immediate disqualifications of
team.

REGISTRATION FEES: Rs. 50

REWARDS:
Top three winners from the final round will get winning certificates.
All participants who attended the event will get a participation
certificate.
