Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms Scavenger Hunt

1. Section 2 states that everyone has four fundamental freedoms: these include
freedom of conscience and religion: freedom of thought, opinion, belief and
expression: freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of association.

2. One of your democratic rights in Section 3 includes the right to vote.

9. Section 12 states that everyone has the right not to be subjected to any cruel and
unusual punishment.
10. It is important to remember that your rights are not absolute. Section 1 guarantees
the rights and freedoms set out in it subject to such reasonable limits
prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic

11. Section 24(2) states that where a court concludes that evidence was obtained in a
