I've developed this course with my

colleagues
Gabrielle O'Ryan, Mike Lefcourt and Marianne de Pierres. I'll be presenting some of
the
videos alongside my team of Amber, Catherine, James and Dakoda. Hi! I'm Amber and I
love
grammar because it gives me a language to talk to about language. I'm Catherine and
I love grammar because I'm good at it and it makes me happy. Hi! I'm Dakoda. I love
grammar because I love understanding how and why language works. I also love that
it helps
enhance my writing which is another thing I love to do. I love grammar because I
love
writing and nothing helps writing like grammar does. We'll present material that
covers grammatical
principles, word usage, style, sentence and paragraph structure, and punctuation.
We'll
show you video clips of interviews with distinguished grammarians. We'll challenge
you with quizzes
and writing activities that will help you to enhance the quality of your writing.
We'll
also ask you to enter into discussion and assess the work of your peers. We want
you
to absorb and apply the principles that we cover in the next few weeks so that you
can
respond confidently to the unprecedented and accelerating demand of writing in the
21st
digital century. Everyone is writing much more than they ever did in many more
arenas
than they had access to before the rise and rise of social media on the Internet. I
hope
