Who is Diokno?
 Cultural Similarities of Rizal and
Cavite

Rizal and Cavite both have their own joyous

celebrations. Higantes Festival takes place in Rizal,
whereas Sorteo Festival takes place in Cavite, most
notably in Carmona. Second, the vast majority of the
people in both provinces adheres to the Roman Catholic
faith. Third, both speak Tagalog as their primary
language. Finally, both provinces are abundant in
agricultural commodities such as palay, corn, and so on.

 How did Chel Diokno's achievements
benefit the community?
The first is his free legal advice. Typically, legal services are cost prohibitive.
However, because he does it for free, he has assisted over 14,000 people
and is always open to all people and can address any legal matter, which is a
big service to the community. In addition, he won a number of cases. Cases
like the MV Dona Paz, in which almost 4,000 people perished, prove that he is
a brilliant lawyer, and the community can rely on him for that. Lastly, Diokno
also filed a petition to prevent the PNP from carrying out its Command
Memorandum Circular, which authorizes the killing of suspected drug users
and drug lords. This CMC is unconstitutional and violates every person's life
and liberty. Diokno was able to get the writ of amparo to protect the people
from this unconstitutional mandate.
