Analysis

Dreams are nature to humans however, not everyone had the ability to weave it into reality. That is
indicated in the poet Dreamweavers written by Marjorie Evasco;those dreamweavers are the womens in
which, she voices out for womens to unmute their screaming dreams by weaving this poetry
(Dreamweavers) into something that would awaken womens. She uses symbolism like earth house
(stay),water well (carry),fire stove (tend),air song (sigh),and ether dream (die) to add her touches on the
poetry. In my conclusion, she titled the poetry Dreamweavers because of her aunt unfulfilled dreams and
end up staying at home and led her to weave, because of the gender roles inequality. Moreover,Marjorie
Evasco is a feminist who advocates to put an end to women’s silenced dreams that is forced by fear and
anxiety by reason of gender roles.
However, there is this question that is lurking in to my mind so,here it is,”How are some women going to
comprehend and feel all the emotions that is link into this poet if some symbols are hard to
understand?”Well that is for me,because as a student who is not fluent in English still have to google up
the meaning and context of the poet.On the other hand,I agree with the message.
I am in awe on her poet,I must admit that at first read I didn’t understand a thing but if you are really
interested behind those unfamiliar words and the real personality of the poet, you will soon understand and
relate your life to it.As a women and a human being,I am also a dreamer who is not certain if i could also
weave it into reality.Nonetheless,Dreamweavers of Marjorie Evasco would really help womens to stand
on their own and fight for their dreams.Additionally,I could relate this poet,Dreamweavers, into the study
of Anthropology where studying of human being behaviour and such is likely studying how to boost one
women to unleash the forces that silences them.
