BIOGRAPHICAL DATA

Juvilyn Tempo Aligado was born on May 18, 2000 in Dasmarinas Cavite. She is

currently residing at 456 Pasong Camachile II City of General Trias, Cavite. She is

the youngest daughter of Mr. Marvin V. Aligado and Mrs. Joycel T. Aligado. She

finished her primary education at Pasong Camachile Elementary School in 2012 and

she finished her secondary education in Governor Ferrer Memorial National High

School-Main (GFMNHS-Main) in 2016. She enrolled at Cavite State University –

CCAT Campus, Rosario, Cavite in the Bachelor of Science in Business Management

siding at PM homes Pasong Camachile II, City of General Trias, Cavite. She is the

youngest daughter of Mr. Dominador S. Mendrez and Mrs. Lorilie L. Mendoza. She

finished her primary education at Pasong Camachile Elementary School in 2011 and

she finished major in Marketing Management program for her college degree.

Kisserly Diane Mendoza Mendrez was born on March 16, 1999 in City of

General Trias, Cavite. She is currently reher secondary education in Governor Ferrer

Memorial National High School-Main (GFMNHS-Main) in 2015. She enrolled at

Cavite State University – CCAT Campus, Rosario, Cavite in the Bachelor of Science

in Business Management major in Marketing Management program for her college

degree.

Jeffrey Paculba was born on May 28, 1999 in Talairon, Oroquieta City, Misamis

Occidental . He is currently residing at 1060 EMs Barrio, Tejeros Convention,

Rosario, Cavite. He is the only boy of Mrs. Luzminda E. Paculba . He finished his

primary education at Talairon Central Elementary School in 2012 and he finished her

secondary education at Talairon National High School in 2018. He enrolled at Cavite

State University – CCAT Campus, Rosario, Cavite in the Bachelor of Science in

Business Management major in Marketing Management program for his college

degree.

Carinderia is a one of the food business that have been in such difficulty on

overcoming this situation. Ideally this topic is on the bloom since we are on the same

situation in reality with pandemic that strikes our daily lives. The researchers try to

understand more about the challenges of running a carinderia in the city of General

Trias, Cavite. The research focuses on the challenges, coping mechanisms, and

effectiveness of a carinderia. The descriptive method as well as purposive sample,

also known as judgmental sampling, were utilized in this study. The carinderia firm

utilized a descriptive method survey design to gather about the most common

challenges it faces and to measure the effectiveness of its coping mechanisms.

According to the study, the majority of carinderias operated by sole proprietorships

already are serving carinderias that have been operating for one year or below. The

analysis revealed that the majority of carinderias were facing challenges in terms of

sales (1) Soaring prices of food and ingredients and Limited dine-in capacity, in

operations (2) Daily proper sanitation and protective equipment, Health protocols and

guidelines and Limited hours of operation, in staffing (3) Fluctuating loads of work,

Short staffing while experiencing high demands and Recruiting and retaining workers,

and last in finance (4) Administrative expenses, Hygiene tools and Protective

equipment costs and Maintaining accurate profitable menu pricing and planning.
