The State Of School Address (SOSA) and School Report Card (SRC) of Sabino Rebagay
Memorial High School held on June 10, 2019 1:00 pm at Grade 9 building. After a prayer led by
Ms. Hidelisa Nobleza, Dr. Salvacion R. Raquid, principal, welcomed all the parents who were
present in the meeting. She reiterated her principle in life that nothing beats preparation as she
wa pride and thankful of another milestone in this school year. She presented the achievements
of the school. She excitedly announced the continual increase of enrolment in the past five
consecutive school years. This remarkable increase of enrolment was due to the strengthened
campaigned in early registration and the unceasingly effort of the teachers, staffs, school
administrations to encourage students to come back, enrol and continue their studies. Out of 381
students for this school year, 347 students were within the normal health status and other
students were placed as the priorities in eradication health issues among them. There was an
increase in the trainings attended by the teachers for their professional development as also it
aimed at equipping teachers with the best exposure to components of k to 12 Curriculum.
Consequently, Dr. Raquid happily announced that the school was an awardee for Brigada
Eskwela Implementer, for he this was a great achievement as it manifested the collaborative
effort of all the school stake holders. She also presented some of the school’s awards and
recognitions which eventually clapped by all the participants. After which, she encouraged the
parents to be more attentive and supportive to their students due to numbers of dropped-outs
recorded this school year. This was happened for several reasons like relocation, family
problems and parents’ lack of interest to support their children for their studies. Literacy level
was somehow declined based from the data collected. The school was at the same status,
developing level and still categorized as a Child- Friendly School. The school main source of
fund was still fron the School MOOE allocation.
Subsequently, she pointed out the learner- seat ratio gave an opportunity to all the parents
to be aware that there was a clear need for chairs in school. She stated that there were 381
students but there were 225 plastic chairs in good conditions and 166 wooden serviceable chairs
which were brought by the students to suffice the needs of the learners but it did not guarantee
the long- term solution for this insufficiency. Perhaps, the school was in process to address this
problem, she added. The learner has still enjoyed the availability of toilet in the school. There
was also improvement in the numbers of teachers available in the school, that was why all level
had a general class size recommended for the pupil- teacher ratio 1.20 for Junior High and 1:27
for Senior high School.
Lastly, Dr. Raquid was very delighted in reporting other stakeholders’ accomplishments
which were shown on the power point presentation, mesmerizing the shared efforts of all the
participants/ stakeholders in every project and activity they’d supported.
