5 You will hear a talk given by a woman called Laura who took up photography as a hobby. Listen
to the talk and complete the details below. Write one or two words only in each gap.
Photography as a hobby
When Laura first took up photography, she was discouraged by the technical language .
Laura says that a blog was particularly useful when she was learning about photography.
When Laura began taking pictures outside, she realised the importance of the light.
Laura’s family didn’t expect her to take her camera to the super market.
When Laura managed to get good pictures of sunsets, she became much more confident.
Laura gets most pleasure from taking photographs when she is in other countries.

8 (a) You will hear a teacher giving a talk about the Galapagos Islands. Listen to the talk and

The teacher says that visiting a volcano was the best part of his trip to the islands.
