CARTR Plus Processing Rules
How to identify a unique cycle to determine whether to insert or update?

· By Current Cycle ID
How to identify a potential duplicate cycle?

A) Upload processes record with current cycle id that matches existing cycle id but has a different cycle type or cycle start date
- If occurs, reject record as a normalization error. If original record in error, upload user would need to go into CARTR Plus UI and ma

Primary Cycle ID Assumptions

· A primary cycle can be an IVF, IVM, or Oocyte banking cycle
· If the current cycle is an FET or Frozen Oocyte IVF cycle, it has to be linked to one or many primary cycles (IVF, IVM, or Oocyte bankin
· If the current cycle is an IVF, IVM, or Oocyte Banking cycle, there is no link to a primary cycle
How to identify a unique Primary Cycle?

· Primary Cycle ID only
Minimum Fields associated with Primary Cycle (which can be provided on current cycle record):
· Primary Cycle ID
· Primary Cycle Oocyte Collection Date
· Primary Cycle Age of Oocyte Provider at time of collection
· Primary Cycle Type
In BORN, these fields will be stored on the Cycle record that matches the Primary Cycle ID.
Use Case: A "simulated" primary cycle that originally occurred either in another clinic and/or prior to January 1, 2013. For donated oocytes
simulated cycle is created to establish a primary (oocyte collection) cycle). It is acknowledged that details around this oocyte collection ma

For each Primary Cycle ID provided:

1) If there is no Cycle Id in BORN that matches the provided Primary Cycle ID:
o Create cycle with the provided minimum primary cycle fields
o Link current cycle to the newly created cycle
2) If there is a Cycle Id in BORN that matches the provided Primary Cycle ID:
a) If the primary cycle fields (collection date/age/type) in upload match the details for the BORN cycle:
- Link current cycle to cycle matching primary cycle
b) If one or more of the related primary cycle fields (collection date/age/type) in upload do not match the BORN cycle:
- Process record with warning message. Create/update details for current cycle in BORN. Do not update primary cycle-rela
matches provided primary cycle id.
Record compliance to validation rules (as outlined in 'Record Layout' tab)
Each upload record will be validated as if it is a full treatment cycle with respect to compliance.
Partial records (i.e., in progress cycles) can be uploaded and , if there are only UI validation errors associated with the record (i.e., no norm

Error Types and Description
File level (Level 1) Errors

File must be larger than 0K and less than 50MB
File name must be unique on the server
File extension must be .csv
File must have BORN at the beginning of the file name
File must have a valid Organization code
User does not have permissions to upload a files for the given organization <org code>
Organization and data source must be a valid combination
File must have a valid Data Source code
File must contain a valid date
File must contain a valid sequence number
For a non=ON clinic, if a file contains data in any of the PHI-related fields (marked as 'X' for non-ON in record layout), the data in these
upload process.
If a File level error occurs, the entire file will be rejected and not added into CARTR Plus.
Structural (Level 2 / Normalization) Errors
The following mandatory fields will be checked to ensure a value is present:

Clinic ID
Patient DOB
Patient Chart #
Current Cycle ID #
Type of Cycle
Current Cycle Start Date
Maximum field length is checked
All values will be checked against the applicable data type
Structural checks are done on a record-level basis. If an error occurs, only the applicable record will error out. Records that pass va
