Abstract

Rationale of this paper tries to address emerging obstacles stem from COVID-19
pandemic in business ethics. This area comprises organizational principles, norms, and
values which guides behaviors of people in business sphere. Remote working practice
opens new and day-to-day challenges which has not ever been massive till pandemic.
Since pandemic forced businesses to shut down all around the world, various researches
has been conducted by many scholars about ethical challenges that executives managers
and employees face in home-office working style. The purpose of this study is to present
obstacles through available resources and evidence. We hope this study will enrich
ongoing debate in business ethics and shed light on this matter.

Introduction

The ultimate purpose of running company is profit maximization, however long-


term sustainability and growth depends on multiple factors which needs to be addressed
strategically by stakeholders. In this context, business ethics became major concern in

As this paper aims to address solutions for preventing ethical business challenges

Challenges

Ethical business decision-making became one of the main challenges during the
pandemic. It is hard to not deviate from organizational norms and standards while

working from home. Working independently is a tough job. The rest

Share your company values: Values are the big part of a company. Values are the

Improve communication: Establish communication norms to ensure clarity,

including chat best practices, response time frames, and email etiquette. The rest

Make face-to-face meetings a priority: Nothing can replace face-to-face

interactions with colleagues, even if it’s via a screen. The rest deleted

Conclusion

In the ultimate analysis, the stance of the companies in this chaos environment
will determine their values in the eyes of the society in the future and the future of the
companies will be shaped by the evaluations of the stakeholders and the choices they
will make in this direction. It is clear from the research paper that the purpose of an
organization is not only to profit its shareholders, but also to respect the needs and
