Introduction
The main purpose of the assignment is intended to start SIA (Security Industry Authority)
training school in Edmonton Green, London with the main objective od training and
developing security personnel who will enable in providing security assistance and protect
the individuals from external threat. The training centre will provide detailed and exhaustive
physical and mental training which will enable in developing individuals who will be
equipped in assist in managing social change, reduce the impact on people and provide larger
benefits to the individuals. It is noted that in the current political scenario, there is an
increased threat of terrorist activity and the economic climate tend to provide an outsourced
of services of personal safety. Hence I want to start a SIA training centre which will enable in
training individuals who will be equipped in protecting the life of the individual and support
for social cause, hence this is considered as the right time for launching the business. The
training centre will target the existing private security offices and other building management
companies which require trained personnel for protecting the valuable assets.

Testing the market


The first step is to test the market potential for the training SIA centre in the city, it is noted
from the available information in the secondary sources there is a growing demand for well
trained and equipped private security personnel in the country who will support the business
and others in protecting the assets and other key aspects. I’m focused to start the training for
security personnel who will be eligible and equipped for employment in the private security
companies. I firstly begun to undertake the following procedure in order to test the market for
SIA training in London. (Crumpton, 2012)
Inputs from potential trainees
The security personnel in the industry need to be highly equipped physically and mentally so
that they can act with vigilance in protecting the lives of the individuals and assets. The
security officers need to be trained in an effective manner so that they can perform
specialised task on counteracting on terrorism, arrest and control, they also need to be trained
on first aid management, cardiopulmonary act and must know how to operate security
systems with care. Hence, there is a growing need for getting proper training on the above
aspects. I tend to issue questionnaire to the potential trainees on their current understanding
of security industry jobs and if they are equipped to meet the industry standards. I also began
to receive feedback from the individuals that they are highly interested to join the security
industry, however they lack in basic and intermediate skills which is considered as a
prerequisite to join in the industry.
Furthermore, it is noted from SIA documents and other key resources that the security
personnel need to undergo additional training from time to time as mandated by the
regulators. The licence for SIA is set to expire every three years, hence there is a requirement
for the personnel to get training from a recognised training centre and renew their licences.
Hence, it is noted that there is a huge potential for SIA training centre in London as the
opportunities are growing. Furthermore, the training centre is a unique and firs of its kind
hence enabling in proving better solutions and training to the individual and make the m more
employable. (Bessant, 2017).
Feedback from the building owners
The individuals who have been trained are willing to take up the job either from the building
owners like banks and other major companies directly or from security companies. The
building management and owners are looking for highly trained and specialised security
personnel who can able to protect the lives of the individuals and assets at all times, they need
to be highly vigilant and enable to take actions at any given point in time. The guards need to
posses the required certification so as to undertake the specialised duties, the building
management do not possess the required skills and other key resources in order to train their
guards, hence they tend to look for a specialised place were they can put their employees and
guards to get effective training. I began to meet with many building owners and direct
conversation were carried out so as to understand their requirements, they all stated that there
is a need for SIA training centres in the city. The interaction has made me to realise that there
is immense potential of such training centres, many business owners also needs personal
security guards, bars and other restaurants need professionals for safeguarding the property,
customers and others. They all employ large number of individuals as professional security
guards who needs to be trained and able to manage customers and make every one safe at the
place. (Rae, 2013)
Feedback from the pirate security company
I have gone to different private security companies and has circulated questionnaire and
enquired their source of getting security personnel for their organisation, mode of training to
the employees etc. It is noted that they tend to recruit some Ex-servicemen from Army or
Navy, and most of the security personnel are new and young, these companies do not possess
the required manpower and resources to train the individuals for the security jobs, hence there
is always lack of skilled professionals in the security industry. Hence the training institute can
provide detailed training on increasing the physical and mental fitness of the candidate and
make them more employable in the industry. Hence, the institute will get the resources from
various security offices and provide them the necessary training to the individuals in a
detailed manner. Based on the inputs gathered by me can be stated that the management
possess more potential to provide training. The training centre can be located in a prime
location which will enable the management to attract many individuals and others so that they
can be more employable in the security industry. (Drucker, 2014)
The problems that contribute to violence are complex and cannot be solved. Together with
our partners, we will do our part by using our influence and authority to strengthen and
support the private security industry to reduce violence. They will improve the protection of
the population by reducing the risk of violence in the night economy. Collaborate with the
private security industry and partners to promote voluntary risk mitigation, direct intervention
or referral to third parties, companies and high risk situations, reduce violence by individuals
and businesses, raise awareness of industrial change, collect and use information to support
our efforts and interventions from partner organizations in vulnerable areas, including adults
and children in need of protection
Second iteration
The next step is to make a detailed analysis on the training centres, hence the student tend to
do basic market research on the requirements of SIA training in the city. The student will do
detailed research through questionnaire to the individual participants, building owners and
private security companies. The first aspect is to understand their requirements and then
create a training plan which will suit their needs. The training centre cannot provide a
common training program to all, there needs to be a separate training program for hotels and
clubs, private security forces, building owners, banks and financial institutions etc. These
aspects are highly focused in creating different training plan based on the needs, the second

Conclusion
My objective is to start SIA training school in Edmonton Green, London, with the primary
purpose of training and developing security personnel to provide security assistance and
protect people from external threats. The training centre provides comprehensive and

and renew their license. As a result, it should be noted that there are tremendous opportunities
