Explore Trello and Add Your Members to Trello

1. CONTEXT

Let us begin with defining a project. A project has a definite beginning and end that is carefully planned by
dividing into several phases namely, initiating planning, executing, monitoring and control process, and
closing collection of these phases are called as a project life cycle. Watch the video, Introduction to Project
Management to learn more. Examples of projects can be reviewing your sales and marketing plan,
iterating your solution, or reviewing your financial plan.

Trello can help you organize your day-to-day tasks, record plans, budgets, costs, for your business venture.
It can also help you collaborate with your team members and track milestones in the various project
phases.

In one glance, Trello tells you what is being worked on, who is working on what, and where something is in
a process. Watch the video, Getting Started With Trello to learn more about Trello. The instructions below
will also give you an overview of using Trello as a project management tool.

2. INSTRUCTIONS

To complete this activity, you need to:


1. Re-group in your teams.
2. You have 40 minutes to complete this activity.
3. Create your account on Trello by logging on to https://trello.com (You may use your Google
Account and password to log in).
4. On the Home page, click the Create a Team button.

5. Add a Name, Description, and click Create.


6. Click the Members tab, and type the email ids of your team members.
7. Click the Invite to Team button.
8. Explore other features such as updating your team profile, your log in profile, changing the admin
rights for your teams on Trello.

Note: You can manage projects in Trello by creating boards for projects and cards for tasks within a
project. We will discuss that in the next session, Project Tracking.
