RELATED STUDIES(FOREIGN)

Based on the researchers, solar energy begins with the sun. Solar panels (also known as PV panels) are
used to convert sunlight's light, which is made up of energy particles known as "photons," into electricity
that can be used to power electrical loads. Solar panels, which have a flat construction similar to that of
a window, can be used for a wide range of applications, including remote power systems for cabins,
telecommunications equipment, remote sensing, and, of course, the production of electricity by
residential and commercial solar electric systems. Solar energy has been developed for more than a
century. Solar energy was initially used primarily to generate steam, which could then be used to power
machinery.

This is similar to the present study because it tells that the solar panels used for a wide variety of
applications including remote power systems for cabins, telecommunications equipment, remote
sensing, and of course for the production of electricity by residential and commercial solar electric
systems.

According to Zietara (2018), a solar panel is a device that converts radiant heat from the sun into
electricity. With the challenges of energy scarcity, various movements launched by various countries
around the world are on the move. Through the use of these panels, the electricity you will consume will
be less from your distribution facility because the panels will do the electric generation for you.

This study is related to the study because it tackles about how attracts sunlight to power the entire
cities. It discussed that solar electric system is potentially less expensive and can provide power for
upwards of three decades if properly maintained.

According to Russel Ohl, an American inventor working for Bell Laboratories, patented the world's first
silicon solar cell. Solar panels saw widespread use for the first time in space satellites. However, they are
also being used to provide solar power to entire homes and commercial buildings, such as Google's
California headquarters. Aside from the fact that solar panels allow you to live off-grid, perhaps the most
significant advantage of using solar power is that it is both a clean and renewable source of energy. With
the advent of global climate change, it has become even more critical that we do everything we can to
reduce the pressure on our atmosphere caused by greenhouse gas emissions. Solar panels have no
moving parts and require very little upkeep. They are toughly constructed and will last for decades if
properly maintained.

This study is connected to the study because it tackles the purposes of using solar panels and it explains
how solar panels became an effective source of electricity and what is the impact of this technology in
our environment. By this information the researchers will have an idea how this solar panels helps
consumers such as business owners.

According to Chandani Sharma, an International Journalist, with affordable costs of solar energy,
alternative energy revolution has started and is gradually picking up speed. A massive transformation
has begun resulting number of attractive opportunities for entrepreneurs. Photovoltaic System uses one
or more solar modules or panels to convert solar energy to electrical energy. Photovoltaic Module refers
to number of solar cells connected in both series and parallel connections to achieve the desired output.
Solar Cells are the building blocks of a Photovoltaic array. These are made up of semiconductor
materials like silicon etc. A thin semiconductor wafer is specially treated to form an electric field,
positive on a side and negative on the other. Electrons are knocked loose from the atoms of the
semiconductor material when light strikes upon them. If an electrical circuit is made attaching a
conductor to the both sides of the semiconductor, electrons flow will start causing an electric current.

This study is closely related to the current study as it shows how the function of solar panels in mount of
money that you will be able to save will depend on the amount of energy that your solar system is
generating. It also shows its content formats where can be used for business especially in today’s
society. In addition, it tackles about the Photovoltaic panels which helps the connect both series and
parallel to achieve the electricity from the sun.

According to McCarthy (2017), solar panels require hundreds to thousands of acres of land to generate
a large amount of electricity. The United States of America devised solutions to the problem of land area
where the solar farm should be planted. The country took advantage of its deserts. Two solar farms with
a total of 1,980,840 solar panels stood in the vast desert of Mojave, Nevada, where the sun shines
brightest, and could power 46,000 homes.

This study is relevant to our study because it tells that solar panels helped consumers in every aspect. It
is said that the United States of America come up with solutions to solve the problem regarding with
land area where the solar farm should be planted. Solar panel is essential to us nowadays because of
this contribution in our everyday lives and society.

LOCALE STUDIES

According to Darren Hammel's thesis (2014), the Philippines has the right climate and an acute need for
electricity in rural areas, so solar power appears to be an ideal solution. He identified the main barriers
to establishing renewable solar power in the Philippines, particularly in remote rural areas, and
developed recommendations for the Philippine government to assist in ensuring the success of those
systems. Because smaller NGO and government projects frequently lack the foresight and budget to
plan ahead for operation and maintenance, project implementers frequently install the power system
and then leave. Distributed power systems, such as solar panels and microgrids, are increasingly being
used by social enterprises seeking to improve the living and financial conditions of people in developing
countries.

This study is related to the current study because it proves how effective distributed solar deployment
can be used to displace diesel generation, making it the most cost-effective and rapid way of electrifying
rural areas. And, of course, more environmentally friendly. With the cost of solar and microgrid
technology rapidly declining, social enterprises focused on solar deployment in developing areas to play
a larger role in current and future policy decisions.

According to a National Renewable Energy Laboratory study, the Philippines has an average solar energy
potential of 4.5 kWh/m2 per day across the country. Because of the amount of sunlight that the
Philippines receives throughout the year, developing solar plants is an excellent alternative energy
solution. The Philippine government has made significant efforts to encourage the use of solar power in
the country. RA9513 was passed in 2008, and it included several policies that encouraged the
development of renewable energy. Renewable energy is becoming an increasingly important subset of
energy sources as nations around the world look for alternative forms of energy production. Solar
energy is one of these alternatives to traditional fossil fuels.

This study was applicable to the  study because the Philippines, as a rapidly growing nation with rapidly
growing power needs, must look for ways to meet this demand. Solar energy provides a viable solution
to the country's increasing energy needs due to a number of key benefits. In recent years, the
Philippines has enacted legislation to encourage solar energy as an option, and this action has already
proven to be beneficial in meeting the country's energy needs. Moving forward, it makes sense for the
country to stay on this track, as continued investments in solar will benefit the country and help it meet
its energy needs.

According to Rosaroso, the Imus National High School (INHS) formally launched its solar panels through
the City Government of Imus Legacy Projects and the Green School Program (GSP) to introduce
sustainable energy for the future of learners. She also stated that the school program aims to create a
healthy learning environment while conserving energy, resources, and money. This is the process by
which schools seek knowledge and practices in order to become more environmentally and
economically responsible. Rosaroso expressed hope that the project will encourage the youth to
contribute to creating more sustainable approaches in the environment with the ongoing support of the
City Government of Imus and the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Imus City, DepEd, and the Department
of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

This is relevant to the current study because it demonstrated the value of solar panels as an alternative
source of electricity in today's society. INHS has switched to environmentally friendly alternatives to
sustain its increasing energy demand due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which forced the citizens of Imus to
use more electricity to cope with the new normal of education.

According to the Department of Energy's 2013 Energy Sector Accomplishment Report, the country's
primary energy supply in 2021 will be 42.90 million tons of oil equivalent. Solar, on the other hand,
remains the most viable renewable energy source in the country. Because the Philippines is close to the
equator, the use of solar photovoltaic systems in off-grid communities is ideal. The purpose of this
research is to examine the process of implementing Solar Home System projects and to learn about the
community's efforts to maintain the Solar Home System and the program.

This study is appropriate for the present study because the results showed positive socioeconomic
impacts, which are critical to the success of the Solar Home System projects. Furthermore, it looked into
the key factors that contribute to community-based Solar Home System adoption and sustainability in
the Philippines. Giving priority to the economic value of the technology, capacity building of locals on
technical aspects, project management perspectives, and the creation of a supply chain for replacement
parts are all critical factors for program sustainability.

According to SolarPanelPhilippines, many people believed that the size of their home was the biggest
factor of the number of solar panels required to meet their needs. In fact, their actual "demand" is more
important in the design of a solar electric system. This can be attributed to the various ways in which
people use electricity on a daily basis. As a result, they've launched a company called "Solaren
Renewable Energy Solutions," which specializes in the design, installation, and commissioning of
Commercial and Solar Photovoltaic systems that are tailored to the clients' specific requirements. We
make certain that our technical and administrative teams are up to date on the latest developments in
the renewable energy sector in order to provide you with only the best equipment.

This is applicable to the research because it is one of the most important solar energy programs. Solaren
Renewable Energy Solutions can help us make informed decisions about why we should use solar panels
to lower our utility bills. Businesses and households across the country, in particular, can save money on
their electric bills.
