STUDENT RESOURCE SCHEME AND SUBJECT FEES INFORMATION

Centenary Heights State High School operates a Student Resource Scheme as per Department of Education and Training guidelines. The purpose of
the scheme is to provide the parent with a cost-effective alternative to purchasing textbooks, resources, consumables, and/or materials from
elsewhere, through reduced prices gained from the school’s bulk purchasing processes.

The Student Resource Scheme includes textbooks and/or educational resources that, in the absence of the scheme, would normally be purchased
by the parent for the student’s use at school the scheme and may include printed material such as workbooks and worksheets, produced by the
school in lieu of a prescribed textbook to enhance the student’s learning experience.

In addition to the Student Resource Scheme this school charges Subject Fees: Some subjects require students to use materials to fulfil assessment
requirements. For example, in Art students produce paintings, in Furnishing Skills students design and produce a few workshop items. These
projects become the personal property of students. The Subject fee is for the costs of materials used in producing these items.

Families who have opted out of the scheme are required to provide everything your child requires - all your own textbooks, e-textbooks, novels,
consumables etc. It is noted however that you should contact your child’s teachers for a definitive list of items that are required to be purchased.

Personal stationery items are not provided as part of the scheme and need to be purchased by students.
