and 9,250 graduate students by Donald
McCabe at Rutgers University, 36% of
undergraduates and 24% of graduate students
admitted to plagiarizing from the Internet
without citing their sources.

From the same survey, 14%

of undergratuate and 7% of
graduate students
admitted to making up a
bibliography,
7% of the undergrads
and 4% of the graduate
students admitted to
copying Information
word for word.
In a surve of 43,000 high school students by
Josephson Institute Center for Youth, 59%
admitted to cheating at least once last year
and 34% admitted to cheating two or more
times.
In the same survey, 1 In 3 students
admitted to using the Internet to
plagiarize an assignment.
