Volcanic Eruptions
Presentation By : Group 1
In the year 2010, an active volcano
erupted in the Philippines. Before the
eruption happened, it showed signs
that it will erupt again, the people living
closely around the volcano have been
given orders to evacuate. The volcanic
eruption lasted for several days
spewing magma and ashes.

The ashes that the volcano released covered

many towns and provinces like snow. It
destroyed many of the surrounding wildlife,
forests, fields and ecosystems. The once
beautiful green landscapes are now grey and
black. The animals that are unlucky that they did
not escape are buried alive. All the flying animals
like birds will turn away because of the ashes in
the air.
The people only return to get some of
the salvageable items that they can
recover and live with their family in
different cities. The volcanic ashes
make it hard for the people and animals
to live in the area. It will take several
months or even years to recover the
forests, fields and ecosystems so that it
can be safe for the people and animals
to live there again.
The most common causes of volcanic eruptions
are : the buoyancy of the magma, the pressure
from the exsolved gases in the magma and the
injection of a new batch of magma into an
already filled magma chamber.
